As for what "hole" one should put their dick into and what most girls like or dislike I shan't debate that with you and will leave you to your own opinion but I always endeavor to avoid causing any misery whatsoever and thus I would never coerce a girl to do anything -- including vaginal sex -- that she didn't want to do.
Smegma: It varies amongst bars and the various mamasans. Some do one or the other and some do both.
In other words, some will try and sell a girl who isn't getting enough customers but others will always give the best recc and some will do either dependent on the customer/situation. Oh, and some knew who was good(the real pros knew) and some did not.

I had assumed ( it seems incorrectly) that you're one of those dudes who like to humiliate / inflict pain, on these women- That is something that I truly abhor - no matter how 'evil' the lady. If you're not that type, I've nothing to say against you.

My comment was about your general and sweeping statement that you detested "special services" when as far as I know there is no specific definition of what that phrase means. (Plus I'm always a bit surprised to see people on a forum of this type who have certain judgemental opinions about other people's sexual practices.) Furthermore I never claimed to like or dislike "special services" nor did I specify what is meant by the term.
Hence my question: Do I know you? Why do you feel comfortable making assumptions about me?
Of course you wouldn't know because I've been away for quite awhile but the fact is over the time that I was active on this board I think most posters (even those who don't like me) came to know that I am probably one of the strongest proponents on this forum of treating the ladies with respect and consideration. Many, many of my posts reflect that. In fact some people think I'm TOO respectful and even find me sanctimonious. At least they base their opinions on knowing me from my posts -- the same cannot be said for you...

Out of the quarrel, I agree with those that said about the variability of papa/mamasan's suggestions.
They are managing a business that's a fact, but someone does it smart and some not and, especially, there can be million different reasons for giving away different suggestions.
I saw the same mamasan to give different directions day by day or even hour by hour:
once for giving a chance to an unlucky girl, another time to impress a potential regular costumer and, not in the end, sometime just for balancing girls competition.
As the BGs have different attitudes, costumers also.
A papa/mamasan with skills, recognise the costumer at first glance: there are the shy types as the bully ones, those who stays in town only the weekend and the expat residents, the perverts, the softs, just to tell the most common.
The business can't be run well with wrong suggestions, but it is a fact that the same girl who had a great performance with me was just a lausy f_ck for someone else.
So suggestions can be wrong anyway, that's why I always listen mamasan but then I prefer to check myself...
at least it was my own mistake !

That's a general question for the room but I'll take a swing at it.
I can only speak to BKK and to a lesser degree Pattaya. There's never an actual labor shortage in the scene, wasn't when the economy was booming, isn't now during the bust. But speaking from an economic point of view this fact still doesn't give the bar/MP owner much leverage. Whoring must always pay a good deal better than picking rice or working in a factory or girls won't do it. So there's a salary floor. This means that to make a profit you have to rightsize both your income and expenses. Set the menu prices at the optimum and downsize the staff when needed.
If you notice the boom in F/Ls in BKK now, you see it in action. Lot's of the new girls have gotten shown the door because there's no traffic, others are still in bars and go-gos but moonlight now.
No labor shortage at all because there can never be enough bars and such to hire all the potential employees.
Because the scene is built like a pyramid with Thai-only MPs at the top and beer bars at the bottom, any constriction in staff at the top just pushes more quality down the ladder.
But with that said if "top" girls get pushed into the midddle market in bad times and mid-range girls get pushed to the bottom, it's still a win for the contrary tastes because of price pressure.

i would never rely on a Mamasan for a recomendation.
i'm old enough and big enough to make up my own mind when it comes to the girls,i need no help.
most of the places i frequent do not employ Mamasans so i have no real problem,but the one's i know i make friends with,just in case of any problems.
i have had no problems with them in the past and will continue to be friends with them.
but if they try and force a girl upon me,then i will politely say no.
