No-one doubts Thais' intelligence (experience in cabs aside). It's not even that difficult to come across BGs whose IQ is obviously way above average.
I think it's more a question of education, culture and habits of thinking. Thai culture is VERY different from Western culture - ultimately, this is the reason why we come here. But you can't have your cake and eat it. If the things that make TGs so different from farang women are the things that appeal, it's a bit silly moaning when you also discover that they can't do other things that Westerners can.
OK, sure, there are semi-Westernised Thais who've had an excellent Western education, have lived abroad for some time, and are quite capable of thinking in a Western way. However, they are far from typical and I would say that the more Western they are, the less Thai they must be. By the same token, a farang expat who's lived in LOS for years and become slightly Thai-ised, can no longer be considered a typical Westerner.
Although I don't doubt they exist, I have never myself encountered a TG with a burning interest in Russian WW2 military tactics. If I did, I wouldn't be surprised if she also treated me to a farang-style feminist lecture on my various shortcomings. In fact, I suspect it wouldn't take her long to send me screaming back to the nearest bar...
I don't expect this kind of stuff from TGs and I don't need it from them. I want them to be Thai. I would rather try to accommodate myself to their cultural expectations than the other way round. Then again, I live in LOS, so it's a very different deal from taking a TG back to farangland. ÝÝ

I guess I got the worst of both worlds, in some ways - farang woman capability to bitch and control, Thai woman capability to not want to talk about anything but silly stuff. ÝSucks being me!
This is again not a typical Thai - lots of western education, very high income from a professional job, and VERY high standards.

Conversation... who needs it... all falang women go on about all the time is bollocks... nothing of what they say interests me.... and they do go on and on....
Thats why I like Asian girls they seem to know their place and only speak when spoken too.... and don't blather on all the time....
Don't get me wrong I've had my fair share of falang women and still do... but after the deed is done I don't have time for em... (maybe it's my los thinking after the sex there's nothing much left)
Even with a falang women the conversation runs out less to talk about and then you get into the day to day humdrum of normal rituals..... it's best to change em as often as possible... keeps it interesting......

Communication, great sex, and having fun are the three keys to a good relationship in my humble opinion. Two out three aint bad either.
Communication is of course, however you define it.
I have not met any Tgs yet than can hold a good discussion about Stalingrad. When I was at my GF's village in Buriram I was reading one of Stephen Ambrose's great WW2 books and her 14 yo sister did now it was about WW2, but Stalingrad...
Give me their numbers, they can join me in the winter Russian Front re-enactments we do here LA. I'll let one of them use my M44 Carbine and she pass as a Mongolian sniper.
Honestly, why would I want to talk to my GF about the Great Patriotic War. That is why we have male bonding. I hang around my military history buddies all week, but when I am with my GF I prefer such topics as ass f_cking, dildo shapes, Thai food, Jintala, Moorlam, Buriram, Issan culture, music, movies, and her conversations with her giant Pooh bear that I bought her at Robisnon's for 450 baht.
All in all, I prefer her company.
