If I asked them I would get a 'what do you mean' reply?
For instance I was in a noisy club with a very bright Farang girlfriend. One of the chaps kept grilling me about my Thai court case. The bar was noisy I'd had a long day was catching the night flight and just wanted to 'chill-out'.
I got fed up and snapped back -"The only girls westerners can get are bar girls - I married one!"
This chap is in total denial about his TGF's background.
He freaked out as if I was casting dark aspersions on his TGF's background(service girl who speaks Jap)- he believes in his own mind that she was just a drinks mangeress. That's all. And all I do is visit sleazy bars(love 'em). He did the same before he met 'poo ying No.1.'
Perhaps its like a chap I know who has a restaurant in Pattaya and recommends the book 'Money No.1'.
He loses custom by telling the truth. "My beautiful girl is different" ...How can you say that !!!
They don't come back(farang customer) and become one of many sending the dosh every month believing the girl has left the bar...for ever?
And is waiting for him.
Perhaps I am sending out the same signals as the man with the retaurant recommending 'Money No.1' by Neil Hutchinson ?

Well, there you go. You've just answered your own question, at least in relation to this chap.
He doesn't want to know that his GF is an ex-BG, you make it perfectly clear that you think they all are, and now he sees you as a threat. What on earth do you expect?
Your restaurateur friend deserves to be losing business. His job is to make his customers happy and contented, not stick his clunking great hoof through their holiday fantasies. If people wanted this 'cold, hard reality' shit, they'd get on the next plane home.
Hard to believe, I know, but some people actually like being happy. In fact, they like it a lot. Threaten this, and they'll distance themselves from you.

I think the chap with the restaurant was fed up with seeing people from his own country being taken for a ride.
I think he just wanted to say be careful and come down from that cloud(he knew she had a string of other men)-
the chap hadn't a clue.
What is the point of pursuing a happiness that suddenly turns to bitterness in the cold light of reality? - I am not referring to my experiences(one bad- the rest good)
He wants to save people unnecessary grief. I think he has seen it so much it was getting him down.
Another mates' Chinese-Thai girlfriend(very sharp & knowledgeable) wanted to do the same for me but my mate said,"Too late he's just got married!"
Maybe I became threatening via my experience ?
Not saying much about it but the existence of that
experience became a threat in itself ?
