Nowadays some of the better digital cameras cost almost exactly the same as a good traditional camera. Why take the risk of the cops as Dr. Love mentioned? I would be willing to pay $200 more for a comparable digital cam just to save myself the trip to Bangkok Hilton.

I have been using Digital Cameras for a number of years now, a 4 million Megapixel one is now less than $300 USD in most places. They print as well as a good Compact camera. Follow the advice from CN & the Doctor. Why take the risk!

And you don't even have to download the images from the camera either. Many printers have slots to read the memory card so just pull out of the camera, insert and print!!
Besides, with the pictures being digital you don't have to scan them to send them to all your friends via email!! ha ha ha ha!!

Digiltal cams with 4M'pixels less than 300$ ? Where ?
11bravo: Internet cafe IS the place with pirate copies of software - so the risk being copied for redistribution is much highier, than simple shop.
Sure digital cams are good, but for X-session with slightly drumk girl, nothing beats 500-800Baht deal for each of two cameras : one for you and one for her. And lots of films and fun. Even at the end somebody drops cam in the bathtub - I still have another and don't care much about lost one.
As for the film. First you develop it, second - choose pix, later - print chooen one all at different places.

In Singapore (I know its not LOS) any number of Camera shops sell the new Casio Compact Digital (QV-R40) here for less than $500 Sing, bit under $300 USD! My experiance in MBK and some other Electronics shops in Thailand indicate probably a 10% increase over this but it does vary. Prices are dropping on these pretty quickly, make sure you get at least a 3 times Optical Zoom, Digital zooms are not the best way to get close ups IMHO.

Digital is definitely the way to go, how else can you share your pics with the bros on the forum?
I even sold my film based Nikon camera to a Thai for what I paid for it two years ago. Unless you are a professional photographer, out with the old in with the new.

On my last trip, 2 gfs allowed me to take their (fully clothed) snaps onmy digital cam. After returning fromLOS, I consoled myself with the happy thought of my gf's pix on my digicam. Days later when I was transferring them to my PC, the PC hanged and wiped out all the pix from my digicam. My Ning and my Nok are now only in my brain's memory. I still don't hold it against the digicam, though. Just gotta be wary of these computer thingies.

Or try at your hotel's business center - most pc's these days have a cd burner by default. I think key is you do the work yourself, so you can make sure you securely delete anything placed on the computer's hard drive. Given that most digital cameras come with a usb connection that the computer picks up as another hard drive, you just want to move the files from there to a different media (even a flash drive).

11bravo: Just for fun, I'll take my cam today and go to business center at Radisson Hotel. The task is : connect via USB cam with adult pix, preview them, ask manager to allow me to burn CD, get to Temp directory (this is where burning soft keeps temp files) and wipe it, verify CD, pay for service and go. Does it look a bit complicated ?
