you guys have no faith, deep deep down most girls would probably like to get out of there line of work. This depends on many mnay things, if the new guy is going to commit to her, if he is going to support her and how long she has been in the biz. The shorter period in the biz, the better the chances. I know many girls that are genuinely nice and given the right chances as above, would jump at the chance to get out of it. But unfortunately I have also seen many who have not, for one reason or another. I knew a few girls in Oz who were working behind the boyfriends/husbands back, telling them she was working in a hotel or such and then ducking off to a parlour to play magician (tricks, or hide the sausage).
I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones, we do not fit into your criteria above either, but even so, we have had a few problems and rough patches. It is the same with any race and any marriage, sometimes good, sometimes bad. Just because they are little seen to be good and 'do what ever you want' sweet thai girls, does not give them the sole franchise on perfection. Show me a country where the perfect girls are and I will move there.
But now nearly six years on, we still have a great time, just came down from the bedroom before after 3 sessions today, last one with the aircon off and door closed, sh*t it was hot, but she is also a great girl.
Just tell your friend to be carefull and give him this website to checkout for himself and ask the questions, he will make up his own mind then on well informed information and a combined experience level here that would be hard to find elsewhere.

I 'happily' fulfill all of your criteria, 4.5 yrs married to date, living in LOS, I do not regret it one bit. She was p4p, but despite 'rushing into it' touch wood things are great. I must say the first 2 years were hard, very hard, lots of testing and pushing the boundaries, I went out secretly sampling more of the p4p and she tried to lock me in the house too much, most arguments ended with "you don't understand Thai culture"!!!
But now we're very very happy, and i'm not retired or on a huge expat package so she is 100% NOT in it for the money, and she like me wishes to live in Thailand, so not for the passport either. We are very happy, but it was tough at the start. If i'm honest, knowing what I know now about the p4p scene, thailand and the girls, I wouldnt of believed a word my wife said and wouldnt of dreamed of staying with her, BUT in her case her 'story' was all true, confirmed via other sources, but I like many other bro's here have had my thought process severly tainted with regards to BG over the years, My advice, tread very carefully, expect the worst, if you get better you are one of the lucky few.

There are any number of success stories in Pattaya.
Many that I know of have retired, bought homes, settled down and are happy.
It can and does happen but it isn't easy. Mine worked fine in Saudi and until we moved back to Thailand and bought a bar. That threw her back into the bar scene and there it went.
Just depends on the individuals and how much effort they want to put into making it succeed.
