V-J, statistically not a chance. That would require too many millions of farangs marrying both thai men and thai women. At best, I would guess down two generations 20%. That is still short of a majority.

Smegs, wanna define "family" and take a swing at it together? If you're using a strict definition like "within 2 generations 50% of thais will have a farang grandparent or parent" then you are definitely right. But if you take a looser definition like "blood relatives including cousins back as far as any one of the 4 grandparents of persons now living" 50% might be possible 40-50 years from now.

V-J, why don't we use any basic definition of family unit that you can find? Pick any dictionary of your choosing and we use that one. I assumed that when you were saying "Thai families", you meant each family unit and not people loosely realted by coomon ancestry.
So? What did YOU HAD in mind when you said "THAI FAMILIES"?
(You always have to come back with something to qualify what you had previously said as there is no chance on earth you could ever say anything wrong)
