couple of points Guys, re the dating agency, maybe you mean ThaiNo1 ? which seems genuine, and has a fair range of girls from middle class backgrounds, - but certainly beware the net agencies, e.g.oneandonly etc... Ive had many cases of girls posted on here, generally movie star looks, a little provocative caption ... hey, she dosent exist, just a scam to get you to pay for her address, - oh, sure, you can correspond, but WHO is writing back, and also, wont be long before they ask you for money for internet exes, student fees, or even a computer so the can talk to you daily !!! Re taking a local lass out, I think we often over do it, they are not impressed that we spend a months wages to them in a European restaurant, when they would probably enjoy a 20bt somtum more !! Safest bet, if during the day or early evening, go for MK Suki, all Thais love it, and you just eat/order what you want, they have shops everywhere, including 3 at Marboonkrong, - if night, say after 9pm, Bow Gung Pow seafood on ratchada road, great seafood, well known by all Taxi drivers, and depending on the girl, a quiet meal in the front section, or preferably, head her towards the rear, then go inside where there is a Dj and live bands playing Thai country. Packed with "blue collar' Thais every night from about 11pm till 2am, a little quiet before that, except on weekends. One final tip, always tell her to bring some friends if she wants, as for one, Thai girls are much more comfortable with that scenario, and two, maybe her mate is even better looking !!!

Regarding Introduction Agencies: I have had some luck with Sweetsingles. The girls are prettier on the photos than in reality, but I have met a couple of really nice personalities. No push for money, but some push for one-to-one relationship. I struggle with the tourist visa too.
I went to the Thai restaurant in Oriental Hotel. Expensive but good food. I have done business in Thailand for 10 years and only joined the dating game last year, so I struggle to know where the locals go. Any way, another hit on my previous trip last year was to take her on a dinner cruise. The fact that there was a lot to see along the way gave opportunity to enjoi something together and allowed for natural silence with no pressure to keep a conversation going all the time.
I guess my concern is isolation for the girls when they come here, but I am tempted.

Kinda interesting, is it advisable to go to one of the dating agencies. Coz i feel freelancers and BG's are too demanding i think. have been to Thailand twice this year. on my first trip, met a very "nice" girl. did the sponsorship thing for a while, then she started to hint about travelling to meet the family somewhere up north.
whats the best way, i think i was getting too involved.
