Hi CJ: i hope You do not take this Post as disrespectful. If You do, maybe You can have Your Ladies apply a little harsher punishment ifİi have the honor of visiting Your establishment. You are always saying that prostitutes and escorts are not and do not make good Dommes and i agree. However, Gaow did provide a service that was in demand. i met her not for B/D but for her sexual services and she was quite good. Could You tell us the background of each of Your Dommes, not by name (unless You want to name Them) to include how They got into B/D and what training They had. Also, have You ever considered providing shorter sessions at a discounted rate. Perhaps a 6 hour session with two Dommes at maybe 2/3 or 3/4 the price of a 12 hour session. Some of us love the B/D scene but cannot afford the rates that You charge. i agree that the price that You charge for a 12 hour session with two Dommes is a bargain, but when on vacation, that rate is hard to come up with. i have served several (real) Professional Mistresses here in the USA, some of Whom you would recognize the Name if i mentioned it and the rate that they charge for a 1 to 2 hour session is approaching what You charge for a 12 hour-2 Mistress session. Thanks expat. I don't dispute that Gaow was finding a niche that is real, but it is a niche that is still on the other side of the fence from what we do. I feel that this has confused not only me, but very likely those who saw her website from the Max Fisch Domina Guide, where she used to advertise.
Anyway it's a little academic as she has 'retired' (I put it in quotes only because it is an odd usage for such a brief career.) I have no ax to gring against Gaow.
Of our five current Dommes, one was a housewife and mother (age now 26), and she has been here 3 years. Two others were friends of hers ages 23-25 and recruited/trained by her. All three have high school educations or better. A fourth used to work in a snooker club, but was not a prostitute. She is 23. The fifth is just 20 soon to be 21 and has been here 20 months. She was fresh from Angthong province and was the niece of a friend of my wife.
Previous CJ Dommes have been registered nurses, nurses' aides, hospital clerks, hotel staff, etc.
Some we intercepted on their way to applying to be escorts. When offered better money and interesting work without any obligation to have sex (unless they wanted to) they jumped at the opportunity.
I tried to use several massage girls who were longtime friends of mine as assistants to the Dommes, but we found it impossible to break them of habits they'd been inculcated with in the abnam: weedling for tips, trying to get the sub to come long before session was over and so on. So, I reluctantly had to discontinue using them.
Nightlife girls make lousy Dommes, the exceptions are so rare as to not be worth talking about.
Prior to starting the House, I spent 9 years hunting through bar girls and massage girls for kinky girls for my own play. I found only a few potential subs and maybe 1 potential Domme, and she got amrried and left Thailand while I was on a brief trip.
That was about the time I decided that it was appropriate to start a Dungeon House here, and to try straight Thai women as Domme trainees -- and this has worked very well indeed for the last 5 years. Frankly, once we had the first 4, they recruited and trained new Dommes as needed. They were making good money and having fun and they had no trouble finding friends who wanted some of both. My function then devolved to supervising some safety issues, and pre-session interviews, and marketing. Plus buying equipment and wardrobes, etc.

Actually we are in the midst of debating whether or not to offer a session of anything up to 6 hours, with 2 Dommes, for 10,000 baht. This is the first departure we have made from our format as designed in 1997 and it has come about because enough people have indicated they just can't spare the time for a 12 hr session. Sometime soon this will be announced on the website which will also be revised and updated with new photos (although there have been no changes in the roster of the Dommes since January 2001).
So your suggestion dovetails perfectly with what we have been mulling over and I hereby soft-launch this shorter session format as of today to users and lurkers here on the forum.

Further to the above I don't want to appear to be implying that bar girls are inferior to Dommes, inherently, or that I don't like bar girls, massage girls etc. I LOVE abr girls, etc.
However for professional Domination they are just sort of ruined by the acculturation they receive in their nightlife careers, and it seems to be VERY hard to un-program them in certain objectionable directions.
When I set this place up my goal was to design a House by subs for subs. As a sub myself, I thought about what I want.
Asian Dommes
Long sessions
Low prices, i.e., affordable.
A less gloomy atmosphere than the medieval-European castle basement theme predominant in the West. Spending an hour of two in a place with black or red walls is OK, spending a day in such a place is psychologically bad. Anyway this isn't Europe. As I am still after 5 years somewhat at a loss to say what an Asian dungeon ought to look like, well, we settle for a sort of Mom and Pop atmosphere except that the Dommes are very real, dressed to kill, and lose their Thai-girl can-I-get-you-a-beer demeanor as soon as they are upstairs.
Plus great meals and drinks during breaks. Meaningless in a 1-2hour session but vital in a long session.
That this format has succeeded is self evident.
Yes prices in Thailand are cheaper than in USA but from the start we have been at like 90% less than world standard Scene rates. Look at the 12 hr rate. 2 Dommes, 12 hours, 16,000 baht. That's 1250 baht an hour, divided by two means 625 baht per hour per Domme.
I really don't think that needs any adjusting downward.
An American pro Domme once sneered at us "I make $200 an hour, you make $20." (The exchange rate was different.)
My reply was "Would you mind repeating that, a little more loudly? The subs are listening."
She shut up.

Yeah, my wife's not just a good cook, she's a great cook, good solid central Thai country cooking. She's in great demand to cater the dinner parties and business lunches of our Thai-elite friends.
Drinks, well, no one comes to a Dungeon to get drunk, but a drink with lunch or dinner doesn't hurt a session, and if someone wants to hang after session and drink with me and the wife and the Dommes that's cool too (and on the House.)
Mostly it's beer but if someone wants a bottle of something harder to be on hand we go get it if it's not already in the cupboard. No I do not mean Mekong! We serve Scotch from Johnny Walker to single malts, cognacs and armagnacs, good gins (Bombay Sapphire?) and rums. Often I have premium Jade absinthe on hand as I make the stuff myself (commercially) in Laos for export. Subs from outside the LOS often bring us gifts of duty free liquor and if that's gone there's Foodland's excellent inventory to pick from.
Wine is a non starter in Thailand.

The food is not great, but awesome. CJ, with your natural Irish-Cajun intreprenuerial spirit, I'm surprised you and your lovely wife do not open up a food-stand or a restaurant. Just think, a BDSM-themed cafe. Oh well, just some intellectual jerking-off I guess. There is nothing like a good hardy meal after the CJ's dommes have finished with you. Late CJ, I have to go to Fort MacArthur do some research on our unit, give a test-drive to our fully restored 1941 Willys jeep.

The 6 or 9 hour session sounds good. I'll ber there in May-June (finally) and would much rather pay for 2 or 3 short sessions rather than just blowing a big wad of money on just one session. Understand, the 12 hour session was one of the best uses I have put to that sum of money, but just thinking.

Bruce, we have settled on </= 6 hours for 10,000, w/2 Dommes, versus the previously shortest session (still available) for 16,000 baht, 12 hours, 2 Dommes.
As you can see this is a "by public demand" format; the 12 hr session is a better deal for the money, but some folks, especially local expats, just can't spare the time. Or maybe some people want to try us out the first time with a smaller commitment. We'll see how it goes.
Restaurants, like bars, are a great way to turn a large fortune into a small fortune. It is true that I am ruminating about an Absinthe theme pub, which could incorporate food service, but this is planned as a tax write off if we need it, secondarily as a marketing tool, for the absinthe business, and NOT repeat NOT as a profit center...that way lies madness....whom the Gods would destroy, they first make publicans. It's a niche sort of hubris. Fatal pride.
SM + bar = trouble. IMHO. For reasons I have delineated ad nauseam elsewhere on this forum.
