by the way...I find it interesting that there is a few people outraged by this girls behaviour and accuse her of being immoral etc.....which she probably is.....but I still admire her a wee bit....but nobody commented on my recent post about the girl who was married recently and then was back at work after 2 weeks.......anybody care to comment on what was worse?

There is nothing that says you have to breach your own ethics while playing the game, either. ÝYou can always say "No!". ÝJust being aware that the game is rigged, and that you only have a narrow (self-limited) set of choices by which you can play successfully, increases your odds of coming out intact.
In general, I think that the world would be a better place if everybody behaved according to their own internal set of ethics, as opposed to changing their standards based on their perception of what others do to them. ÝThe idea that it's OK to lie because you were lied to, and to cheat because you were cheated on is the antithesis to integrity.
There are some 'personality boundary' issues evident here, and those kinds of things predispose you to bitterness and disillusionment in the Land of Smiles...

Haam - First of all, I like what you wrote that BigD quoted. I don't agree with all of it and couldn't even pick out exactly what didn't work for me but who cares, as a whole it makes a lot of sense and to me basically says, do your own thing and be prepared to live in a world where others are doing theirs.
That having been said, this is an open forum where we all can exchange our ideas about what doing our own thing is and then other people can look at the various arguments on the various sides and then decide for themselves what fits into their way of doing things or what they would like to incorporate. Even in the tightest controlled governments, there is always a bit of anarchy.

In general, no real arguments although I look at it a bit differently. Not that anyone else has to look at it this way and also not that what you said rules this out but, and this is a YMMV, if I were to decide to send money, it would not be because I had some long term PLAN for a relationship or that it was on the condition that I was the only one sending her money.
I would send her money because I wanted to and could afford it.
I may have some HOPE of a future relationship but just as I can not predict the future, neither can she nor is she even close to being in the position that I am for controlling the future of one's life. So if she feels the need for a little "insurance policy" I wouldn't argue.
Yes, I am sure there are women who would ironically consider one a fool for sending them money but I would hope that I would be able to detect if that is the case. But then again, I wouldn't send money for it just to be wasted either which is more likely to happen if it is sent to one who thinks one a fool for sending it in the first place.
For me, if one wants to, can afford it, has realistic expectations and they feel they have some assurances even if only in their own mind, what harm can it cause?
Am I a fool? Maybe, possibly, probably, but I'm a happy fool!
