I ran a girl back to her room to get her swim suit and extra cloths as I wanted her to spend a few days with me, she had several framed photos of her and different men displayed in her room and I asked were they all sponsers. I had to explain the question were they all sending money at the same time thinking they were the only ones. She said no: they each spend time with her and pay for that time only, the same as I was doing. Some of them took her travelling, some stayed in her room buying items of furniture in return for not renting a hotel, from which they both gained. In the past she had been offered monthly payments but declined the offer as she would miss her bar friends and liked bonking too much to stay home.
As my next visit to Thailand would be in the hot season she offered her room to me, in payment I should buy an AC unit for my use and leave behind when I leave. I told her I like to stay at a hotel with a swimming pool, her reply was 'well dig one'
The idea about the coloured arm band from a prev poster is great, as I have spent time with a muli-sponsored girls and other than drinks and meals it did not cost me a bean.

My ex wife worked for a helicopter company in Oz that was taken over by a Norwegian company, when they came out, one of the bosses gave my ex a whale slicing knife as a present, they were from then on nicknamed 'the whale killers', knife was bloody sharp though and stayed sharp for many years, I used it for fishing. I need another one, any whale killers coming to Los soon that can bring me one, before 28th feb preferably !!

it's a weird situation, I did not go into all the details. why I did or did not help. at that time she even would not accept help.
and I only realised how much she meant to me when we grew apart. also I moved my cheese, and was very busy in my new venture and had to move from sukhumvit soi 4 to lamlukka, which is 35 km from the city, absolutely no excuse, but many things happened that time.
but nevertheless I should have acted sooner...
she was really bitter, just before and when she left. tequilas helped her to change her moods.
all because of me?? partly, for sure. I didn't feel so good either.

If you just feel sorry for her and want to give her some more money, feel free to do it however and in whatever quantity you wish. She'll appreciate it, and she is used to getting money. The money you give her will help her continue to an above-average wage-earner in her country.
If you are going to sponsor a girl (whom you've spent one week with!) to keep her out of the bar, think otherwise. In my experiences and discussions with BGs, I am of the belief that sending a BG money every month (from afar) will, many times, have the opposite effect that the guy is hoping for. The sponser's idea is that by sending her money each month, this will replace the income she is giving up by not working in the bar or going with customers, so she will not have to work or see other guys. In theory, this works fine but in practice, it might fuel the opposite of what he wants.
If the "boyfriend" (we'll call him Sponsor1) is sending her money and she is not doing anything to earn it, she is probably thinking that this is a pretty good deal. She has lots of free time. It also is putting the thought in her mind that if Sponsor1 is sending money each month and is never around to get any services from this money, then possibly she can find a Sponsor2 to do the same thing! In effect, she can get double the money with little extra effort. After all, Sponsor1 is thousands of miles away and doesn't live in BKK. Sponsor2 will be as well.
If a customer paid you a lot of money to do very little, would you think twice if a second customer came along and offered the same thing?
It is really not much more than "moonlighting" from a job, except the difference here is that the "job" of accepting money from Sponsor1 is really an effortless job most of the time. The only time it really involves work is when Sponsor1 comes to BKK. For that time, the girl needs to be dedicated to him. As long as Sponsor1 and Sponsor1 don't show up at the same time, there is no problem.
Sponsor3? Sponsor4? Only the girl can decide how much she can handle.
Even if she only has Sponsor1, there is almost no downside to seeing a customer (Visitor1) for a day or two while they are in Bangkok. This is just gravy. It gets the girl out of the room for some fun, keeps her skills up to snuff, gives here some spending money and the girl and Visitor1 are quite happy with the arrangement.
She will no motivation to tell Sponsor1, Sponsor2 or Visitor1 about each other. There is little motivation for her to stop seeing other customers. The girl does not consider the ramifications of what will happen if Sponsor1 finds out what she is doing.
I know, I know, your girl would never do this 
Note: CG is often Visitor1, I really like to see girls with sponsors. They seem to be more easy-going, experienced and a little hornier. 
Your post is very logical. This is probably what we will all do if we were in the position of the TG and if that was our job.
So what do you suggest the sponser do? I know one good idea is to get her back to your home country. What if she say she cannot adapt and wants to be back in Thailand most of the time (maybe 3 months in thailand and one with you in your home country). Is it better if she does not stay in BKK but in her own home town? I guess it is just as dangerous since she can still entertain some visitors for a few days by coming out to BKK?

I've not really thought about it too much, because I have never considered being a sponsor (for all the reasons above). In my opinion, 10,000 miles away is not the way to build a cross-cultural relationship, but other people have different opinions, I'm sure.

Does ones attitude to Thai women change with experience and the amount of times one has visited LOS?
Does the experience become more enjoyable or less when one understands better the Thai women that most farangs get involved with.
Is the so-called 'nice Thai girl' (nothing to do with P4P scene and with a reasonable education) experience any different?
I am asking the questions I don't have the answers.
