I agree with oldhand just say "no" to sponsorship, sending money or being a sugar daddy if you dont feel comfortable with that - if they arent comfortable with that then they will take off and save you and them having to dig yourself out of a hole.
Just as with any group there are alaways different types looking for different things in varying degrees.

Now check this shit out, this is actualy what came on my e-mail out of the blue one day. I'm just going to copy the actual and stamp out the particulars e.g, Personal names and their adress ok. It's the whole thing to date, as Mr. Q sent to me out of the blue then I replied, then he replied. Here goes, hell he might even be a member on the forum, would'nt that be rich lol!!! If she was cool with your talking to him, hey, go for it, let him know as much as she allows so that the both of them can start out as open as possible with both sides being accepting of the other. ÝIf she wasn't down for that, it's her life and either she knows best or at least she has to live with her decisions.
But, his contacting you and asking you questions, assuming he did not ask her permission, would suggest problems for their future.
He may have deluded himself into believing something about her that may or may not be true. ÝDelusions are the opposite of acceptance and more often than not delusions of this sort are self destructive. Ý
My impression is that he has a jewel on his hands but that he is going to f_ck it up for himself and that I hope she can make it last long enough to get Canadian citizenship for herself before he self destructs.
