They still have to go back to the village and get the ID card. In Thailand you HAVE to be written in some one house. And no normal person in BKK will write the BG name in their house beucase then she can claime its hers. So the only place she can get a new card and have the house papers is her homevillage/town.
Beucase of this ID card gets sometime exchange for 1000 THB and intrest for a short period of time.
If your girl tell you this BE aware of that she might have a drug problem and no money what so ever.
The id card is the last thing they sell.
The first thing is your gold braclet you bought to her as present.

Gotta agree with Hugh Jardon & bimmher on this one. Giving the girl 5K like that more than likely sent the WRONG message, to her and whoever else she told at school the next day.... underage BG business is a no-lose deal.
- Do the deed, I get paid.
- The guy backs out after learning my age, I get paid.
- The guy finds out I'm underage and still wants to do the deed, I could charge a premium.
- Do the deed and threaten to go to the Boys-in-Brown afterwards, I collect hush money on top of all the other payouts.
- Etc.
THB5000 may have been better spent by dropping it in to one of those charity collection boxes at the airport on the way home.
Not trying to be harsh here, understood that your intentions probably 'sounded good at time'. Lesson learned for next time.

Next time either walk off without paying a bean or take her to the cops to prevent her using emotional blackmail to rob the next unsuspecting farang. They know exactly what they are doing, the mamasan tells them they can make easy money this way and it is often how they get started in the bar. It's theft, pure and simple.
If nobody gives them money in these circumstances they will soon quit the bars.
If I sit in the corner of a gogo bar in my Y-fronts will you give me Bht 5,000 to keep out of the bar? I only need one punter every day and it would be better than working......

My TGF lost her ID in December, just before she was supposed to get on a plane to head home (northeast) to visit family over New Year's. She called around and found that the airline only needed her passport for ID (as it superceded the ID card in officialdom), and that she could also get a new ID from one of the government offices in BKK (forget which one and how).
Anyway, she went home, and got the new one up in Udon Thani, so she didn't do the BKK thing. I guess the rules now let them get replacements away from the home town, but I'm not sure about the details of the rules.
In regards to underage BGs working the scene, I agree with all the advice here, steer clear of it and if you find out about it before doing the dirty deed, march the girl back to her workplace and demand the barfine back. There are at least two ladies working on Soi Cowboy I know of who shouldn't be -- they aren't running the kind of con described in this thread. They are just trying to make a buck, and are very low key about it and don't understand why anyone should have a problem with it (the naievity of youth). But they are walking jailbait and a threat to any punter who makes the mistake of going with them to a place that may check up on them. The American laws are really draconian about this now, so my advice -- don't go there.
