they are actually appreciative of thethoughtfulness....lol.
depending on where I go a hello girl will be happy wit 20-40 baht while a dancer requires 80 -100 baht.

Right on. My last trip to Fort Lauderdale I hit some of the table dancing clubs I had enjoyed last trip there, but just didn't get the same vibe post-LOS. HAd a nice little street hooker who did a good but impersonal hour-long job for five times the LOS ST price.
Disturbingly I noticed in a couple of gogos in Pattaya last month girls were dancing with baht notes tucked in their boots and or skimpies, US-style. Carousel, Soi Diamond was one IIRC. Don't like that trend at all - over-priced sodas and lady-drinks are enough of a cover-charge for me.
In one bar, I think it was Shark Club - the one above Soi Diamond off Walking Street - the girls rotate around individual tables. was chatting to a girl next to me and a not very attractive half-farang girl was dancing on the table. I had turned away to talk and yet she still demanded a tip for dancing 'for me'.
Puting money in the girls boots, panties etc., isn't a new thing. Me and many others have been doin' this for years. Also the girls themselves put money into their boots etc., hoping that either this will encourage punters (me?) to do the same or (more likely) they superstitiously believe that this will bring them luck i.e. money goes to money!
I'm sure some Lads have seen floosies wearin' (lucky!) rings made from folded Baht notes!
