I don't give out phone numbers to free lancers as the same thing happened to me once..
If you are in a hotel, they may ask for it and how do you mislead them.. write the number down and just transpose two of the numbers.. should she catch it, oops, I made a mistake.. most will not look up the hotel number in a phone book and will just go away.. you can't fake the room number .. altho if you move then you are off the hook...
I have an apt so am more careful about my phone number.. I even went so far as to make up some business cards with the incorrect number on them .. I give them out to those I don't want to hear from again .. includes a few guys I have met there too..
cheap streetwalkers... try around Lumpini?? Helps to have a car, but if you don't mind walking there are some there and as they normally only go with Thais they are cheaper..
another interesting place is during the day at Queen Sirikit Park (the park next to Phrom Phong BTS station and Emporium) .. I have been approached twice there by 30ish decent looking ladies .. I may try one of them next trip as she looks pretty good and her English was very good ..
there is also Chinatown, but it is a hassle to get there, but there are places there where ST can be quite inexpensive, tho in places many of you might not like.. no aircon only fans ..

Re Freelancers;
Going to BKK Ist time soon. If you lurk in the shopping centres can you be approached by freelancers from time to time?
No matter where you meet them I assume it makes better sense to discuss ST rather than LT so parting is not such sweet sorrow if you are glad to hear the bell to end the 1st round

I have always found the sweetheart club to be useful during the day , as usual I go early aournd 11am ,The girls vary and normally you will find a new one in there to try , anal is on the menu but not with all the girls ,condoms are a must as usual , shower and sex is 750 baht for as many rounds as you like in I think one and half hours.

Big Hairy Pig is right, Pattaya is definetly the most suitable location for your needs, and its fun too, try some of the smaller islands around there, very cheap as soon as youre there, have to fin a tricky low cost way to get to them...
