A few years back I bought a TG a gold necklace. Apparently it was her favorite and couldn't wait to buy it back from the shop she had sold it to numerous times. Took her to a bar to meet up with a friend of mine. For some reason my girl and another TG working there were experiencing some tension. The other TG noticed the gold necklace and a gold ring my TG was wearing said "you have here" - pointing to her neck and hand, "but no have here" - pointing to her wrist. Well, that's all it took to send my girl into pissed off mode. Later on that night, when I told her to forget the b*tch, she went off (angry as hell) saying I don't understand Thai lady. I said I understand, but why you care what other lady think, but my geniune talk had no effect on her. She even went into tears about the whole situation. Well, f*ck that, I'm not buying any gold bracelet. On my last trip, one thing I noticed with so many girls in Pattaya was the die-a-mond in the tooth.

Yeah, it seems unfortunate that most of these girls are taking cues from trailer trash punters from the Pamela Anderson school of class and fashion. Same same with the tramp stamp tatoos on the small of their backs (though these seem to be fading, in favor of die-a-mond in the tooth crap). It's unfortunate that many girls mistaken trailer trash for bona fide 'good' farang material.

Gents, My girl had her gold necklace & bracelet stolen late last year. I half expected her to hit me up for a replacement, and it would be hard to resist, but there were no hints, just some sorrow from her over how many times she had to 'put out' to buy that gold. Still stupid (I thought) me said I wanted to buy her something to make her feel better. Turned out to be an opal pendant, and she was very specific about how it should look (must have seen it in a magazine). As it turned out it was not expensive (for me) to have one hand made, and a fraction of the cost of her gold. I get the feeling she wants this to be a sentimental gift to keep, since I don't think there is a pawn market for opals in LOS. Since I am a 'lug' when it comes to choosing presents for any woman, I will genuinely feel good about giving her this next time I am in town. Liam PS, I can't for the life of me work out whether she wants the sweetmouth or the strong silent type. I generally feel stupid either way, and like most women, she is inconsistent about what she wants. Even down to little decisions about what/wher/when to do; one day she wants to be led, the next day she wants to be the driving force. Ah well.
