I've been robbed once only - about 6 years ago when in BKK briefly as a tourist. Best-looking BG I've ever taken LT in my life, but barely adequate in the sack and an A1 pain in the arse from beginning to end in every other department. Even then, all she took was a CD Walkman.
It's plain silly to leave huge amounts of cash, passport or other things you can't afford to lose lying around. Otherwise, I don't think there's any need to get paranoid about this - and if you're engaged on anything more than a ST fire-&-forget mission, showing you trust her a bit can actually help to get the GFE into full swing. As for griffin, this tactic works for me anyway.
It's certainly not a good good idea to get caught hiding things away or otherwise making it obvious that you DON'T trust her. A month ago, I picked up the sweetest little cutie in Hua Hin, who I'll certainly want to see again. On the last morning, I was making a fuss about losing my watch (something I misplace as a matter of course). She obviously mistook this as an accusation, because I suddenly noticed she was quite upset and emptying her bag to show she hadn't taken it. Luckily, I managed to rescue this situation (typical of the silly misunderstandings which can f_ck things up with BGs), but if I hadn't I suspect it would have put a real damper on future encounters.
Usual story. Treat a BG like a 'regular' girl, and that's normally what you get. Treat her like a low-life whore, and you'll often get that instead. Imho, BGs tend to live up (or down) to expectations.

while i have left all sorts of valuables and money laying around,no problems with any of it going missing.
but i did have my #1 girl 'take' a large amount of money from me,but it was a mistake and there were mitigating circumstances.
all money was returned without me asking her about it.

Excellent advice. I have said before respect what they do and make the experiance as enjoyable as you can for them and in turn they will make it enjoyable for you.
Still does not mean you can't be or shouldn't be careful.
As the saying goes don't put temptation in temptations way!!
