One thing that seems to be constantly overlooked in these type threads is the fact that some farangs are just sh_tty judges of character.
I have one ex-wife and several ex-girlfriends. Regardless of the reasons for my mistakes, it would appear to me that since I MADE THE CHOICE to pursue the relationship, IT IS MY FAULT.
I have nobody to blame but myself. Therefore it appears it would seem of paramount importance that I should understand myself before I try and dissect an entire culture.

Hey women are the same everywhere in the world. Some are in it for the money. Ever hear of a Trophy wife? Some are lazy - some are hard working. Some like to fk some don't. etc. etc. etc.
The good thing about LOS - they are Buddists and not all hung up about sex like the uptight religious assholes here in the states.
But they are still very class conscious. Why are bargirls low class? Not becuase of sex like westerners think of it. They are low class becuase it is manual Fkng labor. Farmer or prostitute. They are both from Issan, both manual labor. Thai middle class looks down on them.
The smart (or coniving) BGs figure the work is a temp thing, and try to get as much money as possible before their looks are gone. They figure screw the looks from other Thais, they will have a house car etc someday.
The dumb BGs don't think that far down the line and spend etc everything.

If you think about it, I'm sure you'll realise it's far more likely that Western women/TGs/BGs/all women/people in general (delete where not applicable) are complete crap than that your judgment might ever be at fault.

Amen to that - the mentality and attitude towards sex is really far more relaxed than in the uptight US, or even in the more 'open' Europe - they are both Western, and hence, Christian cultures, hence 'guilt' and 'dirty' concepts apply. You hit the nail right on the head that the low regard for BGs is not due to the sex, but rather due to their lower position on the social ladder (at least so it appeared to me as well).

I generally like to have a conversation with the BG before barfining her, to see what she does - does she save, does she party, does she support family or not. Haven't noticed any major correlation yet, but the research must go on...
