Times are a changin, some girls, good girls and even bad girls, especially bad girls, but I am talking about good girls now, dont give a sh_t to much anymore, they will/may still get the attitude and looks, but a lot of girls are looking forward and saying fcuk it. I have noticed a huge difference in how people in public are acting and dressing now compared to just 6 years ago when I first visited here. When I took my missus to her first overseas country several years ago, she was flabbergastered at the way things were done differently, she was young enough and had enough of a mind of her own to see that Thailand was not the only way to go and certainly not the best way to go. Her attitude in public changed signifigantly after that first trip and basically one day said to my reply about doing something in public that others might look down on 'fcuk em'

I always get the sex out of the way first... Thai girls seem to be cool with the idea of staying in contsact once the sex thing has pettered out (or you just wanna back out)... have several long term friends that are ex-shags... they are loyal, trustworthy and always appreciative of the friendship factor.... they know your not just in it for the sex, because thats already been done!

I do hang out with whores and whore mongers. I donot have the time or the entry into "polite" thai society. Last time I looked this is a pussy forum not the "polite" thai forum.
BKK as whore monger central. General statement, sure but take a look at where the tourist area's are located. In central BKK along the sky-train. Hundreds of thousands of thai's commute to and from this area every day. You don't think they look at the falong's with thai woman and wonder about the women status in thai society?
How can the average thai walking down the street figure out if the women your with is educated? Knowing human nature as I do, he/she doesn't assume she's a good girl. The assumption is made that's she's a whore. Guy's need to ask their good girl, why family/friends don't want them dating falong's?
Why do the women go with us? Simple, for the most part they are very poor and they have a limited education. Poor women in Thailand can't buy a break. Well in one sense they can. When they go with us. If a women marries a falong she has hit the lotto big time.

Well, sh_t, I can understand the normal thai society looking at you and looking at the 299b girl your with and the free pizza she is carrying and jumping to conclusions, I have made the same mistake my self. I mean just yesterday, I saw a good girl at lunch with a bad boy and presumed he was a whoremonger straight away and I was right.

The 299 specials, I go out with tend to dress conservative, wear light makeup and they don't wear alot of jewelry. They don't look like some of the go go bimbo's you see on the street.

But you say you do not interact with polite Thai society, only "whores and whore-mongers", so how would you know what an educated working-class or upper-class Thai thinks?

Most BGs I go with are probably in the top 10% of wage-earners in Thailand.
Your sweeping generalizations are a product of where you hang out and whom you hang out with. No criticism of where you hang out is intended by me in any way (I like hanging out there too!), but there is another side of this town (and this country). You only see lower Sukhumvit and Pattaya, then you make ignorant generalizations about the mindset of how another segment of the population that you admit you know nothing about. Am I making any sense?

NM - stop eating lunch near the mirrors and it won't happen again! Got to agree the times are a changin - saw a young thai couple embrace and kiss on the sky train recently. That was a first.
BigD - I still disagree. IMHO the Thais are very quick to pass judgement, just on sight they will conclude the social status and origin of another (dark skin color, non-thai appearance etc). The "treatment" that follows varies accordingly. You think they cannot spot the difference just by looking at them from between a farm girl from Isaan dressed in spandex and a "good girl" Bangkokian dressed in company corporate?
FarangBha - I've found that approach works with the P4P girls who seem quite taken with the idea that you think there is more to them than just "boom boom". As you say they make good friends. Have any of yours been non-p4p types? I'm wondering if the reaction would be the same?
Major Tom - A lot of the girls you will meet on the internet are "past-use-by-date" in Asian culture (30ish onwards) they are quite prepared to turn their back on the moral code of a society which is prepared to discard them. Also as NM says "the times are a changin".
