I have partaken the fruits of the BeerGraden occasionally, and have always (except once) told them I would pay 1000B for ST. I was turned down once but I think that she was waiting for another customer to show up.
The one exception (and BK, you KNOW the girl I am talking about) is one that straight away told me she only goes ST and she requires 1500. She was in the Beergarden picking up extra money after her day job. I justified it the first time by thinking "OK, if she was in a bar, then the 1500 would be 500 barfine and 1000 for her". Plus, I really liked talking to her.
She would rather go home without a customer than take less than 1500, but the good thing about her is that she tells you straigh away so you know what the deal is.
I've repeated with her two more times, the last time, she told me she is no longer working the day-job. Business must be good. It's a good thing for me she only goes ST, as if I took her LT, I'd probably fall in love (again!) She threatened to go LT with me on the next trip, we'll see.
When you find a girl like this, I realize that life is too short for me to go out scouring for a $12 lay. (one that is acceptable looking to me)

It's first contact that counts a lot.
I dressed like a tourist, a little, a few weeks ago in Nana/Soi Cowboy. Not dodgy, but a polo shirt, sandals and shorts.
They all assume tourist, but as soon as the Thai words come out of your mouth, everything changes. I like to let them know the score with me up front

I would rather have her go home alone -that screw localY- so that she saves herself from the misery and is then happier the next day when I pay her 1,500 plus a big tip.

Is one of my favourite hauts when in BKK like to go mid to to late afternoon, after a hard days work (or is that just after getting up  ) to relax before the eve gets under way.
Have allways got 1K ST no problem, sure you can get girls to go for less but much rather go for a 8-9 rather than a 5, but each to there own. Last trip I was there and a girl said to me, " you would not insult me by offering 500 would you" she was good to go for the 1K
Later in eve same type of girls 1K LT sometimes but mostly 1.5K and they have to be up early for work etc.
2-4AM Nana, Suk etc no problem with 1K LT, had 2 last time at once for 1.5K and a very good session it was as well, but you do take a chance when the beer goggles are on.
Also found that BG's that I have been with before will happily come round after bar closes for 1K LT but what I do is say I will tip if good time and it normally costs me an extra 200B or so
