I have had that feeling a few times. Life looks different when it arrives.Doesn't it ?????
It lasted 18months on the first marriage and about 5 minutes on the second. Both times when the feeling went I thought. What have I done ???? We have nothing in common ! Not to say this will happen to you, everybody is different. Through experience I have to say that when I hear those immortal words,"I don't work anymore so please send $$$$ !" I am sceptical. BUT- every situation is different ????

well kman, that is why i always tell everybody pay the girls otherwise you will pay in one way or the other. youngexpat can tell you a story about this when he was haging around a couple of days with me in bangkok. most freebies will not be freebies after a while and you will pay much harder here in LOS. Not in Baht but in girls getting bizarre on you, love manifestations, banging at your door, spilt beers, thrown glasses, silly fights, life threats, girls cutting their wrists or trying to tattoo your name in their arms, suicide warnings, cut off penises, thai guys attacking you etc.! I have seen it all, most of it personally, lucky enough i still have my willy!
At the end of the day you will always pay one way or the other!
On the other hand I always tell the girls that I am not good for them. Okay they see somebody nice to them, with nice condo etc., but what they can not understand is that they won't be able to get me! Even if I sponsor some of them through university I hardly would not think of marrying them or may be taking them back to my homeland!
So in fact I am the bad one as I am taking their youth from them while they are stayin with me and wasting their time in finding somebody who might marry them or is looking for a lifetime relationship. I for myself do stay with them for a while (some months or year) give them a nice time and as soon i get enough from them replace them. for they had a brilliant time with me, but at the end they will find themselves with a lot of missed chances. On the other hand they learned many things about their future perspective life, got around in asia, adopted some western style and manners and most likely aree able to finish their university, certainly also something worth compared to working the industry forever!

I have fun with the ladies and I do enjoy the time I have with them. Lets face it, no other brand of women in this world will show you the type of time that a Thai girl will. In the end, she is loyal to her family and her country. Unless you come across a rare circumstance (they are out there though) you are better off not pursuing something long term with a Thai girl. I fall in "like" with all of them but in "love" with none of them. I always PAY baht in the morning or at the end of a stint. You keep things in CONTROL that way and that is why I use the services of working girls. Too much lip? Outta here. Want to f_ck other guys? Outta here. Want to ration the pussy? Outta here. well, some of u might have heard this at the las RT. but i just wanna share it again as an expericence for others members of the board.
BF a TG from Nana (had her the las trip) and she refused to leave the next day. of course guys, i had pay her the las time and i this time she refuse to take my money!! she wanna me to go Sanuk with her and her friends. sorry man, the bottle and my fellow forum friends are more important!! she sat on the bed and started crying out loud, saying she doesnt wanna work that nite. ok, no problem, i'll pay BF for u again tonite, but i cant see u. it only made matter worst!!! accusing me of butterfly and screwing around. after an hour of such nonsense, i made a deal with her. that is, u go back first and i'll try to see u later in the nite (of course i had already made up my mind not to). i also gave her a lot of $$$, which she gladly took!
guess what guys, when i did not call that nite, my phone rang non stop (shes still calling now), and she stalked me at my hotel vicinity, called my room like every 10 minutes! finally, i gave in and answered, saying i was piss drunk and i cant see her!! but that did not stop her from calling the next day!! god, it made me feel so lousy that i shorten my trip and left the next day!!!
it could have been a much ugly case of "fatal attraction" like what griffin had said. i've learnt my lesson and i'm taking our Master BKs' advice from now on, that is never take the same gal twice!! even if u have to pay!!! no man, no more......

Here in th US, I tell the girls up front, I'm dating other women and I'm not looking to get married. When in LOS, I telll them , I'm a butterfly and I'm not looking to get married. In either place, it's up to the women to deceide if they want to see me. Saves a whole lot of hassles down the road. I agree about the level of understanding in LOS. I try and find B/G with a decent understanding of english.

We have touched this subject on a few earlier threads, about speaking Enlish, I mean.
More regular visitors tend to get different priorities rather than just picking the best looker of the stage.
