her teeth were perfect, and braces wouldnt have made any difference anyways as she was too old at 25 for braces to help.

Not sure where you get your medical information, but braces can work at almost any age to fix orthodontic issues.
I know plenty of folks in their 30s and 40s who are wearing them, with excellent results. I'm 40, and am considering them for some minor corrections.
