My buddy in crime/travel recently received an interesting e-mail from a BG he had met at Nana Hotel. He S/T'd her a couple of times, and they exchanged a few e-mails. He is the type that will never sponsor a lady, and prefers to pay and enjoy the moment. She seemed like a nice, honest, hard-working BG, whom he probably will see again when he returns to LOS (he is none the poorer for this e-mail, and is a student of the con).
Normally, he nor I post private e-mails, but this one we are posting because there is a deception going on that she has inadvertently made public. It was sent by this lady, who hasn't yet learned how to use the "delete" key when she uses the "cut and paste" or "forward" functions. This email was in response to a friendly hello e-mail from him. For the sake of this post, we will call him "Khun Jeu Yai" (his BKK tonite handle) and we will call her "Lek." The third person, we will call "Q." She is asking Khun Jeu Yai for a photo of her, and as you read on, you'll see why ... so on with the show:

Been there, done that... ÝWhat a painful lesson to learn. ÝNever again - only if I had seen this thread before I made that mistake a couple years ago. ÝFortunately I never sent any photos (that she begged me to send). ÝI was too nice (an ill advised sucker is more like it) but now I'm alllll business and better prepared to avoid such con games. ÝIt's amazing how similar all the stories are - these girls must have a book they share on how to properly suck the money out of ATMs.

I got an email a week ago from a BG from 3 months ago, asking to borrow money. She's home upcountry. I replied telling her I was not going to give her money, but I wish the best for her. It's true.

Well.... how about this...
The first time I went to Bangkok I managed to get a BG to take me out to dinner and lend me 20 US$ before I flew out! ÝI've been back at least 10 times now and every time I've managed to do the same!
