Innocent vs. Naïve = no big difference. You're arguing bureaucratic details of right/wrong, the bulk of which would be irrelevant if the girl were to lose her job.
Most bureaucrats are already devoid (corr.) of common sense and understanding in the US, though at least there are laws governing under what conditions someone can be fired - there aren't in BKK. It's a good thing she didn't get fired, but if she had, I doubt very much you would be arguing the same to her boss, or that he would have cared.

The point is no matter how this got back to her boss it was not the girls fault. She had nothing to do with it and knew nothing about it.
The person who did make this public is obviously a member or he would not have been able to read it. By being a member he should also know the way things work on here. He should ALSO have noted as I said before that it was not the girls fault and she had nothing to do with it.
On another note I do not believe I did anything wrong by asking if anyone knew her, by name. I don’t think I would have got very far if I had asked "does anyone know a girl in the Mariot, small girl, dark hair, slim and very pretty)
Whoever got Sai pulled into the office for something she could not control. Stop being a f***ing asshole.

I think that's the point (essentially, there's a f***ing asshole on here - unfortunately, that criteria alone does not narrow the field).
What this should serve as, is an example that our conversations on here can have unexpected consequences, notably that while we may feel that this is a cozy, private forum, it is NOT!
At any given time, there are dozens of readers online, that never post, but they read. Some of them may be managers at hotels or restaurants, some may be law enforcement, some may even holier than though politicians - just be aware that our conversations are not private.
...and arguing what 'the rules' or 'the law' are, has very little bearing if the girl had gotten fired. I mean, seriously, what could anyone on here possibly do if that had happened? Nothing.

Well... I think JW Marriott mgmt should be careful...
A number of their (frequent) clients are on this board.
I think the girl (employee) in question has not done anything wrong. She just looks good and has good personality. Which is probably a big factor in why she was hired for the job in the first place.
The exec lounge girls are the same. Although I would never mention any of their names, some of them are real sweeties (nothing extracurricular suggested) and are one of the reasons I look forward to staying at the JW in Bangkok.
If JW's steakhouse girls become a draw factor... I think they should get a raise.
Or... maybe JW Marriott is simply going after the Arab crowd these days... in which case they can dress up their female staff in Burkas etc...

July thru September the Arabs migrate to the JW in Bangkok. I heard its 120 degrees back home. Rooms are usually booked these months unless your a Marriot gold card member.
While its nearly every Indonesians dream to go and walk Mecca, you'll rarely see Arabs at the JW in Jakarta or anywhere in Indonesia (the most populated Muslim country).

While I personally believe this forum is the center of the universe, it is entirely possible (although extremely remote) that this is not the forum or internet site that caused any issues for the lady. Of course I am just being my innocently naive self... which according to a previous definition here, is redundant.
Now if Paddy 01 proceeds to have carnal knowledge of any young lady on the prime rib cart, I will further revert to the food thread herein which suggested the best steaks in Bangkok are prepared at home, which would wholly be the case.
