I've been using camfrog, and bought pro.
While it is an interesting use (waste) of time, it generally doesn't do too much for me, as of yet.
A couple of quick questions might help some folks here - answers have been alluded to, but just want to confirm.
The holy grail seems to be having a private 1:1 video chat with a sprightly lass, enjoying some mutual showing. For those of us who do not live in LOS, that's actually a fun thing to do.
However, how serious are these challenges for the typical non-LOS person?:
--you aren't there, so unless you have some periodic travel there, the girl knows she probably will never meet you
--for me, I can read very limited Thai, and can't type anything. I can speak a very little romanized Thai (khun suoy mark mark and that sort of thing)
If the two above conditions are met - is it even worth bothering trying to engage someone in a 1:1 chat and play session?

I would imagine that certain times of day, or rather night, are more conducive to making contact, or having them put on a show.
If that's true, then it is complicated by the time difference for those of us who are not living in LOS, as I am seldom logged on generally, let alone to camfrog, in the evening to late evening hours in Thailand. Obviously I am assuming those times make the most sense, but what do I know?
Also, I am still not clear on the concept of how she makes private contact with you or allows you to make private contact with her, since it hardly seems wise to float out your MSN identifier, or whatever, in the public room. In fact, aren't you forbidden from doing so?

OK, well, for me the holy grail isn't so much the 1:1 private cam as I do that a lot but rather to be able to meet the lady after the private chat/show.

My original post regarding the girl showing herself in the middle of bar late one night seems to have morphed into a second Camfrog thread, but that's ok, it's obviously an interesting topic for some.
Here's how it works for me.
1. You must have Pro, without that, forget it.
2. Build up a database of girls and rooms that you like (that is, rooms where girls are allowed to show).
Again, you need Pro to do this and I will put some names of rooms at the end of this post to get started with, but be aware that these rooms rise and fall in popularity from one month to the next.
3. I go the the room and start by looking for girls names that are 'greyed' out. This means that a lot of guys are watching that cam. (sorry, but once again, without Pro you cannot sort users into male and female so in a room with several hundred people in it you have little or no chance of finding the girl that happens to be putting on a show at that particular moment.
4. Click on the greyed out cams, and any others that are being talked about a lot in the scrolling text. Usually 1, 2 or 3 girls are being repeatedly encouraged to do more, so it does not matter what the language is, if 'sexygirlthai' has a constant stream of messages you can be fairly confident she is doing something worth looking at.
5. By now you could have anything from 1, 2 or up to 20 plus cams open on your screen. (only with Pro)
6. Decide which one/s you would like to get to know, and close down the rest.
7. If they do not have their profile set to 'private' send a direct message to them which pops up on their screen, or if they are in private mode post a message in the main message area.
I am usually quite successful in catching their attention with some crappy line like, 'Wow, ti rak you are suay!!, jing jing ' I deliberatly mix English and Thai and always put a smiley face.
This usually gets a response if only just 'thanks Paulo ' and normally you can expect to see the 'webcam looking at you' icon pop up as they check you out.
Incidentally, it's not unusual for a girl to contact me direct without me even seeing them on their cam. I asked a Thai girl, who messaged me like this, how she picked me from the many other guys to talk to, and she told me that the girls scroll up and down the mens names in the room looking for guys with their user names in 'bold' font, in Camfrog this signifies someone who has paid for Camfrog Pro and, in their minds, they link Camfrog Pro to wealthy falang, because nobody in Thailand pays for pro, although most have it (bootleg versions). Smart girls!
Anyway, once you have caught their attention, or they have contacted you, it's just a case of chatting them up, no differently than if you were in any other social situation. I always add them to my contact list in Camfrog so that I can find them again when you next log on, if they are logged on as well, that is. Also, always add the good rooms to your favourite rooms list, for future use.
Finally, I am in the UK when not in BKK, and the time difference works well because the 7 hour difference (7 winter, 6 hours in the summer) means that if I go online at 7. 0 pm you catch them at 1.0 or 2.0 pm Thai time and that is definitely show time in Camfrog!!
I have been to rooms that were boring as hell during the day but by the late evening or early morning (Thai time) they were full of sexy looking girls doing everything you could imagine, either on their own, with their boyfriend or (my favourite scenario, several girls together).

I agree with Everything except on point #3, I will just point out something about the "Greyed out" name.
I am an owner and Operator/DJ on some Thai Rooms so I know about the Greyed out.
Actually, the grey color has nothing to do with People looking, Camfrog has a function where you can block someone's microphone so they can't take the microphone (Only Owners and Operators "Red and Green Guys" can block Mics).
People have noticed that by blocking the Mic, the name becomes grey and they have used it to show people who is worth Looking at.
Of course, always look at the DJ also, these guys/girls Microphones cannot be blocked because they play music adn talk, so they might be showing/f***ing as well.
You will also notice that in the Thai rooms the DJs talk a lot (they never stop talking and it was irritating to me at first) well, as a DJ, I was instructed by the Room owners to try and push girls to show. That's what these guys do. Many girls are curious and love to be Directed... the DJ does that.

I have a totally different "technique" than Paulo when it comes to Camfrog.
I also click on a lot of Cams and keep the sexy ones open, but I do not send private messages to the girls, I mean, some of them receive so many that they don't bother replying.
I wait for the girls to contact me (and trust me, they do).
the only problems are:
1. I get a lot of Gays that tell me they want to suck my cock
