Almost a field report here but its about the topic...
So I was in BKK for 5 days.
Friday:
On the second day I made it into Gulliver's in the afternoon to cool off, have a beer and play some pool. Shortly after I got there this little cutie came up to me and started being quite friendly. Within 10 minutes she would come up and lean against me inbetween her pool shots.
I was supposed to go out with a friend that night to some clubs and I didn't really think the girl would enjoy herself and I didn't really want a TG tagging along. Thinking about all of this I asked her if she wanted to go with me back to my hotel while I changed my clothes. She said she did so off we went.
Well back at the hotel I figured I had enough time for some action, so talked to her about it. We talked about the price and came to an agreement for what I thought was the whole night. She went to take a shower and found the shower cap wet (from the girl the night before) and was suspicious. I played dumb and told her I don't know why its wet. I don't know if she believed me but she dropped the subject.
So we had our fun in the hotel then I got changed and we headed back to GT. I told her that I would call her when my friend and I were done clubbing. She didn't seem to belive me, but I repeated that I would call her and even paid the $$ we had agreed on in advance to reassure her. The other reason I paid her was as a test to see what she would do.
So off I went clubbing and come 2am I was a bit drunk and headed back to my hotel. I made it back there and gave her a call. When she answered the phone it seemed a little noisy wherever she was but she said she would call me back in 10 minutes. So I layed back on the bed. I woke up a couple hours later and grabbed my phone to see that she had NOT called me back liuke she said. I went back to sleep rather pissed off about having to sleep alone.
Sat:
The next day I was running around doing various things, shopping, Eden, Poseidon, etc. The girl kept calling me all day but I was pissed at her and was not answering my phone. I think after about 8-10 phone calls from her I was done with what I wanted to do, and thinking about wether I wanted to talk to her. The fact that she had called me so many times was working in her favor, but I was very suspicious and figured she just ended up with some other customer. Since I had paid her first and she flaked on me she had failed my test. Well eventually I figure I will see her in person and see what she has to say for herself.
We meet at gullivers and I tell her I am upset with her about the night before. She tells me she was asleep or some other bullshit but I am not buying. Even though I don't really believe her she is very cute and sweet and its hard to remain mad at her. I do notice that she has a new shirt she has bought in a playboy bag. Hmm... wonder who's money bought that.
We play pool for a while but eventually I am tired of the gulliver's scene. I tell her I want to go dancing somewhere and convince her to go to Narcissus with me.
On the way there the taxi driver tells her that narcissus is full of women and she is not happy about that. I tell her what difference does it make if its full of women I'm going with her not with them. She doesn't seem very convinced and generally unhappy about me being around other women. Obviously she thinks I may leave with some other woman. She seems very possesive. While we are there she is always hanging onto me, I assume to make sure all the girls know I am with her. Eventually she actually seems to relax and have some fun. She even ends up kinda flirting with this other farang guy. I don't really care about it, but I imagine if I had done the same thing with some girl she would have had a problem with it.
Throughout the night she gets or makes a few phone calls on her cell phone and several time makes a point to put the phone to my ear and let me hear the other person talking. (It was a girl every time) she tells me one time its her aunt and to talk to her. I say hello, but what am I supposed to say to some Thai aunt?? Her phone also rings a couple times and she checks who it is but doesn't answer.
Eventually we end up back at my hotel around 2am. We talk and goof around for a while and I even break down and give her a present, A pretty silk scarf I bought on the plane ride over because someone mentioned it was a good idea to have presents for the BGs you liked. (Thing cost more than I was paying her for LT. Not that it matters, but it was ironic) Eventually we hit the bed and have some sex. As she was cumming her phone started ringing but she didn't answer. After she was done and I wasn't she grabs the phone, says it was her aunt again, and starts calling her back. Well I tell her thats fine, but I am not stopping having sex with her.  (I think its kinda kinky actually hehe) So she talks to her aunt for a minute or so and then hangs up and we finish.
She tells me that she would love to sleep with me all night but she has to go meet her aunt who has just come into BKK and her aunt has only 100baht with her. She doesn't seem to be telling me to try and get money from me, but just to let me know that her aunt is poor and needs her help. She had also mentioned before about needing to send money to her family, etc.
So I end giving her half what I had given her the night before and she looks confused. I tell her that I paid her for a whole night last night and she didn't stay so I'm not paying her that amount again. She was really still ahead of the going rate for what was actually 2 STs anyways so I wasn't going to listen if she complained.
So off she went and I was just falling back to sleep when I get an SMS from her. "I LOVE YOU"
SUN:
She calls me a few times again but I am running around and not all that interested in talking to her. I'm still confused about the SMS she had sent me also.
In the evening I talk to her and tell her I will be meeting some friends and then going out to some go-go bars with them. She tells me to call her when I am done and I agree. I think she calls me darling and tells me she thinks about me all the time and misses me.
So that night I end up bringing a girl back to my hotel for a ST session that ends up not working out. After I kick the ST girl out I call 'love you' girl at 3am and get no answer. I'm only a little upset by this as I wasn't suprised I got no answer at 3am... She was probably either asleep or with someone else, but at least I had done what I said I would do by calling her. So them I'm off to Grace to finish off my hornyness.
Monday: The day I fly out
She calls me around noon and tell me she misses me and wants to see me. I tell her what I have to do and try to get her to meet me then but she just tells me to call her when I am done with the stuff I have to do.
So by 2pm I am done and give her a call telling her I am in GT's to cool off, have something to drink and a bite to eat. Well she is there too and comes over to sit with me. However she does take a few minutes to say goodbye to some farang she was sitting with.
We sit there eating and she is acting very sad. She tells me she likes me and will miss me and when will I come back. So far I had only paid her about 50% above the going rate for 2 STs so I don't think it was entirely about the $$. I mean I am a nice, good looking guy and I did treat her well and we did seem to have fun together. However, I was staying in the president park, so I am sure she knows I have plenty of $$ by her standards.
Well I tell her that I need to go pack my stuff and ask her if she is going with me or not. She comes with me back to my hotel and sadly helps me pack my stuff.
Once I am done packing we have a final f_ck on the bed and then get dressed to leave. I ask her if she is leaving now or going to the airport and she says she will go to the airport with me.
So we ride to the airport and she lays against me the whole way acting very sad. We sit in the terminal in the check in area and she tell me she can't go any further in the airport or she will start crying. She never asks me for money or anything, but I still give her LT amount and some extra for the taxi ride back. We say our goodbyes and I go to check into my flight.
Shortly after she is gone I get an SMS from her telling me goodbye and that she will miss me. Can't remember if she said she loved me in it, but I think she might have.
So I fly back to Japan and then get this email from her the day after I left.
"Hello ****
how are you ? I hope you arrive your home well how is the weather there ? when you leave me here I always miss you I didn't know that when you will come back again but I want to see you again if you have a free time please come back you are good man when I was with you in short time but you make me happy if you got my email please send me back I waiting for your email

So here I am thinking about the whole situation and wondering about TGs and them falling in love with us. I'm not really sure why I have posted all of this, but I thought I should share my experience. I'm really not sure what to make of it all myself. Part of me is suspicious of this girl, because of the stories and warnings I have heard and partially because of her actions. But part of me also thinks she is sincere in her own Thai way.
I don't intend to every have a serious relationship with this girl, but she is nice and I really would like to understand her more. I think if I go back to BKK I will have to sit with her and talk about all of this and try to understand her more. These TGs are sooo different from most of the women I am used too.
If anyone has any insight on the situation I would appreciate you opinions. Criticism is ok too.

I think the western notion of romantic love is a less prevelant concept here. For many women, finding a guy who a) is financially stable and secure b) dependable and c) is not a wife beater is quite the dream. I think its more about finding a good husband than finding love.
Compare this with the USA where women are bombarded by Julia Roberts movies, diaries of plump english women and madison avenue protraying a love full of undying romance, endless passion and brad pitt and its no wonder why there's a 50% divorce rate.
Thats why we're here isn't it? The women are willing to give a lot more and ask for a lot less in return. Its not the money that western women demand but the paradoxial sensitive, crying, but manly bearded lumberjack that is improbable to fullfill.

I haven't read the rest of this thread, and don't necessarily agree with everything you said Monk... but I do think you expressed this one bit particularly well.
