From what I have seen most of the pressure does come from the families !!
It did with my ex-wife.....
Always be wary of the discrete phone calls back to 'someone' otherwise known as 'Central Control' for futher instructions on milking the farang.- I did not know this in my early trips to Thailand but I did think-'Who the f_ck does she keep phoning with big smiles?' - Knowledge is THE key to Thailand but few have it in the early days !!!
I actually believe a number of TG's have lost their 'true' love because of family greed and pressure. AND they never know when to stop !!! Often they will 'kill(frighten-off) the goose that lays the Golden Egg!' take ,take and more take then the penny drops ! Farang-gone !
They all(Thai-culture) have this stupid belief that all farangs are rich and farangland streets are paved with gold. They don't realise one needs gold to walk on the damn things !!
Stuckinapub(know the feeling when they've got Hopback Summer Lightening !)
Your situation is truly awful. I lost two wives because the relationship went wrong. The first cut me up the second 'had-to-go!'
But when you lose someone like that- well???? Words cannot explain or help. I lost a dear, dear friend to cancer last year and the family pet. When the father in law died of the same thing my first marriage was never the same. People grieve in different ways. Cancer is an awful disease. I know too many who have died of it but none from aids. Does that say something ?
