Gentlejoker here. This is my first post in this forum.Been coming to LOS since 91.Not an expert on "any" women be they foreign or american. Which is what I am.Black american,42,5'10, 170lbs.Why the stats?Because I have read with amusement the remarks about Thia womens attributes.They are women first and foremost and like any woman the remarks you wrote about could fit any woman on this planet.Being a minority like this women I can relate to being thought of as an good for, one thing.Like were all supposedly great athletes,great dancers, well hung,etc.Your lsit could be presented to any race of women and checked off accordingly.For every good Thia woman there is bad.Is there not the same of any race of woman.You are talking about a group pf people that are daily presented with an assortment of loud,drunk,oversized creatures that submit them to acts that defy thier imagination.How would you like to climb up on stage 90% naked and have such creatures stare at you in a sex hunger state.Hmm sounds rather appealing yes?So forgive them for their acts of drama or greediness.In America its the same."Reality" Television has the highest ratings.How much "reality" are you facing when you look in the mirror.Not just LOS but all the developing countries have areas like NEP,and Pattaya.These are place that men go and can get women that no way in their best fantasy's would ever look at them in their native country.So your list is perhaps the trade off.Perhaps the woman are saying this is what you must put up with,Since I must look at you and put up with your ways.I love LOS it is my favorite country to visit.With Brazil coming in a close second.I come every 4 to 5 months. But I don't hunt.I come to enjoy the calmness of the country first,then the food and last the women.I usually stick to 1 or 2 ladys that normally have met since my last trip.I normally have established relationships with Ladys that have been cooks in restaraunts or maids in hotels.They are easy going as I am.I have never been married and no kids so I don't have that haterd of women that you feel sometimes thru others writings.Been asked for money? Once and I sent it to her $100.00.Big deal I sent money to my new friend without her asking.I don't give in to the "Knight in shining armour " theory.They are great ladys in terrible conditions. I also don't lie to them.They know it will be 13 years before I move to LOS.So I tell them not to wait for me.Long post for my first one sorry guys,but Herm Life is just too short for you to try and get inside their heads.Enjoy.

Messrs Reynolds, Leather and Hutchison cannot be talking crap?
Well, whoever said they were? Personally, I've enjoyed all three books (especially the brilliant Reynolds). I did assume Hutchinson's was essentially satirical, like your own list (I hope!)
The problem is that these books present an entirely one-eyed view of TGs (BGs anyway). Moreover, the view they present seems to have hardened into some kind of conventional wisdom. This, plus the endless litany of woe you refer to, colours people's perceptions and creates prejudice. Guys expect to be deceived and ripped off, are constantly on the look-out for evidence that this is happening, and of course find what they are looking for. There can be few easier things to do in this life than misinterpret a TG's behaviour and motives.
At any event, I don't know why you should trust all the hard-luck stories you hear. Some are genuine. Some just represent a guy's complete misunderstanding of events. The fact that he believes this is what happened to him does not mean that it bears any resemblance to objective reality. You hear only one side of the story - and it's always the same side.
An example of what I'm talking about, and a useful antidote to the books above, are Mike and Noi's stories, which can be found here:

I recommend anyone who hasn't seen this before to read Mike's story first. M may be unusually clueless, even for a newbie, but his story will be familiar enough. Noi's may not be.
There's a lot of other useful stuff about where TGs/BGs are coming from at that link. Well-balanced stuff, not just the sheer negativity which so often passes for wisdom on the subject.

Having been around my TGF two years now, I am starting to witness something unexpected. Within the last month, a number of her g/f's (who I don't know) have "come in from the cold" so to speak. These are Thai ladies who have been away in relationships with farangs, some up to 4 years. And for various reasons, these relationships are all failing at about the same time. I bring this up, because it is the flipside of Hermie's original post, and is the relationship problem from their POV.
One in particular is interesting. She is now 24, and was told a week ago, after a 4 years relationship, that her teelak said he was too old for her. He's 60 now. They met when she was 20 and he was 56, at my TGF's former gg-bar. She was somewhat dumbstuck by this sudden reversal. From what I gathered, she had been living upcountry a good part of the time and being loyal to him. He offered to put her through beauty school, so that she wouldn't have to go back to the gg-bar, but she chose to work. I think this is because his continued sponsorship without his presence was too heartbreaking for her. Frankly, I think he was doing this because in reality he wanted to return to the punter's lifestyle, and he wanted to let her down as easily as he could and felt some remorse.
Funny thing was, she had only danced a couple of days last week when another farang bf'd her for a week and they set off around LOS. After a week, this farang apparently fell in love with her and has asked her to stop working at the gg-bar.
I learned all this while chatting on the phone with my TGF who was eating "nooden" with her g/f while waiting to "look movie." I asked my TGF if her g/f was going to take up the new farang's offer. Answer: "not sure." Since this was from the "horse's mouth" I knew it was not rehearsed drama for the benefit of an unwary farang about to be fleeced.
Seems love dies hard, even for some of these ladies, and a week of "romance" with a new suitor doesn't so easily erase the heartbreak of a 4 year relationship.

The smart (or coniving) BGs figure the work is a temp thing, and try to get as much money as possible before their looks are gone. They figure screw the looks from other Thais, they will have a house car etc someday.
The dumb BGs don't think that far down the line and spend etc everything.

I have nobody to blame but myself. Therefore it appears it would seem of paramount importance that I should understand myself before I try and dissect an entire culture.

How many of us actually ever bother to seek the answers of these questions.
About me, I never tried to take advantage of any women who is not into p4p. The one who is into it......I have no plans to marry her.
So I am least bothered to look for the answers for such questions.
Have fun and pay for it reasonably.
