I married a lady from the p4p scene, that was 7 years ago, we have 2 lovely kids and are as happy as any couple I know, and happier than most.
I had been travelling to and from Los for 10 years by the time we had met, I was 30 she was 23.
It was very difficult at first, as she relocated with me in the UK, she now loves the place ( f*ck knows why? )
But we spent 3 months as a family in Los this year, as a tester to possibly settling down there.

Good post. I tend to agree with your stats. I can't count one Farang/Thai couple I know that is happy - stateside.

I love the bit about what you tell your mother !
If one is realistic and does not think with one's proboscis the chances of things working out are very slim. It's just a fact of life. I know many will say, " Oh I have or I know a successful relationship." But I think it is the exception rather than the rule. There are just too many factors against success. If you believe 'love' lasts 18 months at best there has to be something after that. i.e. really getting on together and loving somebody but not being 'in love' ?

I think your situation is fairly typical. It is very difficult for a male to be faithful with so much temptation. It's just the way we are made. I have given up thinking how to be successful in marriage because for myself it hasn't worked twice. First time her fault second mine. I did learn a lot though.

I do know that independence goes a long way. I just hope I don't meet some sweet, young BG who has only been in the business for 4 weeks, break all the rules, and fall on my ass big time.

I just been to hatyai and back. I am Asian and been in the sanuk scene for more than 5 years now.Some here might remember my BKK FR from some months back.
I am now very infactuated with a working girl who is in the scene for 4 months.
