I surprised my TGF and was shocked. How could I have been so stupid. I told her I was arriving on her birthday, Jan 19. I arranged for a friend of mine to call her and ask her out for dinner and an evening of fun for Bht 2,000 in his hotel room about 4 days before I was to get there. She arrived for the scheduled meeting and to her surprise I was there instead of my friend. Oh you should have heard the stories/excuses and BS. I was heartbroken and pissed at the same time. I never saw her again. I did meet with my friend (who is married) and we concluded that she failed the loyalty check. Previously I had supported her 100% in an agreement that she not P4P. One of my friends rationalized her behavior as saying she was just so bored waiting for you to visit her the three times a year you are in BKK.

Dhahran. She was ex P4P - I'd say shocked but not surprised. 2,000 baht and no harm done is what she was thinking. And if she had taken that money and bought YOU a gift would you see her as a sinner or a saint? Maybe she was bad news and you are well rid or her - and maybe not - you will never know. Still it was a cheap clean way out of a costly sponsorship deal.

They are ALL lying bitches. The exceptions to that rule are not worth making mistakes for. Hope you learned your lesson. If you want to get emotionally involved, don’t do it in a country populated by nationalistic racists and that has been raped by the Western presence. Or at least take a bitch you can have a decent conversation with.
Only slightly related to the above, I ask myself this: what kind of person expects trust and love form a person who hardly speaks the same language? From a person who lives in a different country and who he only visits 3 times a year? From a person with who there is probably a significant age difference and who is part of a population that is actually known for its dislike of foreigners.
Is this an example of being emotionally underdeveloped and lonely, just plain stupidity, or am I seeing this wrong?

Nope, you are spot on mate. You could add that all this in a country that does not see anything morally wrong with knowingly selling their daughters into prostitution (you're pretty go to Bangkok and work in a "restaurant"), Mia Noi's, ripping guys off (especially farangs - they can afford it).

I plan what might be a bit of a surprise for this October. After an extended up to the chin "lub too muttz" type of a relationship with my favorite TG I brought it to a basic end because she asked for money. We have stayed slightly in touch...she has backed off of the "lub you" stuff and says she is simply looking forward to seeing me again.
Actually we have had a lot of fun together but I feel that I have had to back off from her to keep either of us from feeling too attached. I made it a special point to avoid seeing her last trip. I felt an e xtended cool off period was in order.
I intend to visit her next time...but I will purposefully confuse my arrival date. She would travel to BKK to meet me at the airport if she new.
I have told her that I will likely come to visit in Nov. The actual plan is for Oct. I want to arrive in Pattaya and have a few days of freelance time before I see her. The situation is such that once I do see her it will be like being married to her...she wont let me out of her sight.I am OK with this but would not mind postponing it a bit like I said.
So I get a guarantee of several free days and then I will surprise her by dropping by her bar...I would never drop by her home but the bar is no problem. Now she will either be ecstatic to see me or she will be awkwardly entertaining another Falang in which case I will simply smile and chat with friends until she either leaves with this guy or dumps him. (Maybe it will be one of you guys 5555) Maybe she will be off with a Falang in which case I will tell them at the bar to tell her I am in town and looking for her.....this will buy me more freebie time and she cannot complain if she catches me with another lady.
I am doing all of this not to be cruel or weird but rather for a bit of fun that I believe will actually help to solidify the notion that we are not a proper couple and those thoughts should be left behind.
It has been an odd experience that even though in the past I had told her many times that I understand what she must do for work and I am okay with it. She would STILL insist on sending me emails explaining that she doesnt go with men anymore but is simply waiting for me....you know...BS.
I think instead of the nicely package greet at the airport and the perfect GFE throughout my visit a bit of awkward catching her with another customer may well be exactly what we need to keep it real so to speak.
A dose of reality for both of us without invading her home space may be an appropriate use of a surpise.

Yep, and the 2am text message (allowing for the time difference) that says she is missing you....that's BS also but its nice BS....and I'd slide back to sleep smiling and wondering what a fcuked up life I have where a BKK bar girl goes to more trouble to make me feel good than either of my wifes ever did....
