Quote: from scobie on 3:03 pm on Nov. 14, 2005 Thank you Lookinferluv. Am not saying there aren't bisexual girls out there. Of course there are, in both the p4p and the non working girl population. But a hooker prepared to pretend to be bisexual for baht is not a bisexual girl.
OK Scobie...I go along with your statement, on your last sentence, I think this is more the mark. After work she is a normal straight girl. The power of money, can make a normal girl to bi girl, funny world we live in. Barrafish.

Quote: from ThaidUp on 7:47 pm on Aug. 5, 2004 During the last few weeks, I have had the opportunity of getting to be an insider of certain circle of friends. It turns out many working girls are very bi-sexual to the point where they are using some of their earnings to finance 2-3 day weekend sex parties of boozing, dancing and sexual olympics, with TG's only. Just recently, my own wife admits to having a four year affair with a girl and group of 12 girls most and if not all have husbands and/or boyfriends. So while I have been off with other girls, so has she. Actually this is not a shock to me as I knew she was bi-sexual before I married her. (That's why I married her) She was afraid to tell me as she feared I would not be able to handle it. Now that she has learned of my own debuactury, she has opened up full bore. Even to the point where now she is good friends with my steady TGF who is also bi-sexual and we are working on plans for us to all be together including weekend trips to beach towns for these non stop parties. Wonder how it is working now. Joe

Mybe not quite on the topic, but: Three TBGs I know and I got very, very pissed drunk last tour. In their drunken state they described to me various aspects of each others anatomy....in detail. I know from some experiences with them that the detailwas right. Later that evening they started goosing each other front & rear, amid lots of laughter, one screaming in my ear "I like to touch girls very much"...I said "so do I, are you a lesbian" she said, "no, just like" Work it out, Liam

Well, I'm sure you've noticed... it's a much more "touchy-feely" culture than many others. Men often goose men as jokes, etc, put their hands on each other, etc. Maybe this would seem gay to us. Women do it with women too. Women do it with babies too; so many times I've seen a Thai woman pinch at a little boy's tiny penis and jokingly say something like "What's this, eh? what's this?" It's a big difference. However in my country, the US, men and women make out in public and people often hug when they greet--both uncomfortable activities for Thais. But to top it off, gender identification is different too. Just considering how many ladyboys there are here... gives rise to the idea that hmmm perhaps these people, the girls included, can lean either way easier. I think they just like whatever seems easier at the time.

Women have always been far more sexually flexible than guys. Bisexuality makes sense from an evolutionary point of view. Girls can practice casual sex without the costs with another girl and bisexuality makes sense in terms of gaining access to the alpha male who can inseminate 2 or more girls in one session. In evolutionary psychology there is even a term for this flexibility - the LUG phenomenon - Lesbian Until Graduation. I think that 'open' bisexuality is a fairly modern concept and I doubt that Thailand is further 'advanced' than most other countries. In my experience most girls are bi-passive and bi-active girls are much rarer. It's a shame really. Get to befriend a good bi-active girl and you are basically made. At least 50% of the time, 3somes involved girls taking it in turns with the guy or servicing him both at once. Hardly true bisexual behaviour. Bi-active girls refer to these girls as Bi-wannabees or bi-curious.

I read once that 7% of women the world over are lesbian. I've found the percentage three times higher than that in LOS. Here is a conversation from several years ago from a hottie from NEP: penbelly: Most ladies are not lesbians, huh? TG: No,many lady have girlfriend! penbelly:Yeah but most ladies in Nana just play lesbian, right? TG:No,understand me! MANY lady Nana have girlfriend! Sure! (sigh)

I acknowledge the fact that I am ignorant of Thai culture and society. But even as an outsider, and being an expat from the U.K. for some years here, you can witness the trappings of social engagement and inter-action ( the seajohn "touchy-feely" culture ), the girls and ladies holding hands with one another going shopping, or the men holding hands or arms, going into a massage parlour or a bar. Thai society and culture has its own taboos and phobias, though not easily recognizable from an outsider's point of view. The West has its very definite phobias and taboos. And in each society, those that break them are looked down on or condemned socially or legally. I just find it amusing to know that many of us from western societies, even after years of being here, are still mentally attempting to fit Thais into western culturally-constructed categories. They mostly don't apply. I think if I want to eventually reach for some understanding of Thai culture and society, I've got to leave a lot of my Western psychological baggage at the port of entry and come in, like that, from there.......slightly more free of being weighted down by my past experiences and a little more prepared to accept things like morals, values, social norms, taboos, phobias and what is acceptable and condemnable in this society, that have grown and developed in their own unique and separate way, tied to the history and spirituality of the place. More advanced ? Less advanced ? Comparisons don't apply here. They are worlds apart. It's a different game, that's all................ ....with different rules .....a different playing field ....different referees ..............and a different ball. Have a great one everybody while it's still in play.
