Yeah another one keeping a low profile! There will be a few of us looking to blend into the wallpaper that night. Wish I could figure out how to slip in unnoticed via the back alley.
I understand they will not have valet parking that night as well.

Ran into the organizer last night at KT. She had no tickets to sell but others did. In fact one of the singers at KT -- who'll be singing Sunday at the party as well -- was waving a strip of tix for sale from the stage.
Absolutely heaving at KT last night.

Most of the mods I'm aware of would unlock region specific playback but do nothing to convert the PAL (or Secam) standard (s) out the back of the player to the 525 line NTSC TV set. This would require a hardware converter, AFAIK.
A lot of the existing players have the standards converter already built-in (same reason, cheaper to mass produce), so what MODEL number of your SONY do you have.
Furthermore, do not pay more than $60-$70 for the replacement player. I found the Philips DVP-642 to be an excellent player for $39, which plays everything, including DiVX. Invest in a TV or projector that has component inputs, and then the PAL/NTSC issue is moot on the display side.

Are you sure you went to KT Saturday night? It was pretty dead. Friday was better. I stopped by KT twice on Saturday. Little to no action, the best looking ladies there were the waittresses. Same deal for Katom/Hollywood. I hear sunday after hours at TOT is good now.
I did confirm that a few gals had some tickets. Not sure what they did, either they oversold or were trying to hype it up. Hope there's a good turnout for tonight.

Done. DVI/SVHS/HDMI inputs will accomplish this as well. But at the end of the day it's still 525 scanning lines post conversion (I have 32" Sony Wega tube)
Been too distracted with travel to purchase a nice LCD or plasma HD ready.

Badfish -- I wrote that on Saturday, so I was referring to Friday night. I've been after hours at TOT on Sunday and can confirm it gets a good crowd. Perhaps the place to be after the party tonight.
