All you need to do is log off the email account for the careless owner. ÝNo need to pry into the contends of the emails. ÝAs to the handwritten letter, all you need to do is take it to the front desk's lost and found. ÝThe writer of the letter may come back to claim it. ÝIt is not your job or responsibility to deliver the letter. Ý
I think most of the bros are intelligent enough to figure out that an email account belongs to a BG by just glancing at the subject lines of the emails. ÝWhat is the likelihood that a BG is plotting a terrorist attack? ÝI would dare say the chances are none so using the terrorist attack analogy is irrelevant.

Also, the last time I checked, at least here in the USA, law enforcement agencies need a court order in order to intentionally snoop into people's emails, letters, phone conversations, etc. ÝOtherwise, it is invasion of privacy and it is illegal.

I have no problem in logging out a person and then letting the world know they are a 'Spammer Scamer'. Would not eMail their marks, they would not believe anyway. However if I can identify that person to the bro's I will. A con person cannot stand publicity and this is the tool to fight them.
Of course ST Arcadius, you would rather let her scam other farangs in the name of privicy. Those farangs are stupid anyway and deserve punnishment....

Thankfully U.S. law applies only in the U.S., but in any case we were talking about ordinary individuals not enforcement agencies, or in fact intentionally snooping.
I personally did not use the analogy related to terrorism.
At this point in the thread it is impossible to continue logically, and quite useless in fact because people are not reading what is written, or not understanding what they are reading, and then twisting around what people intend to say. Or half reading posts when they drop in late on a series of posts. This tends to happen with this psuedo/psyco/philos topic. It is fun for a while and then people start to get pissed off.
So before I get pissed off, I am f_cking off (applause, applause I am sure).

Really? None? Well perhaps the people who died in Bali would wonder about that, and I guess those folks who went to breakfast in the restaurant at the WTC that fateful day in NYC along with a few thousand other people who took fateful flights or got to work early.
How the dots connect before terror strikes, is as yet an imperfect science. None is not an elelment in the analysis.
I am sure you would have said, as you have here "the chances are none", for the WTC towers to disappear that morning. Downed by airliners. Flown by flight shcool trainees.
Which does not mean BG's would or would not be involved.
I mean wouldn't a terrorist stand out in BKK if he didn't visit BG's. But hey, isn't this all pure fantasy. Sure.
"the chances are none" ? Get real! Unexpected? Improbable? Unlikely? Inconceivable? Yep!

Why don't you get a yahoo account Ýbefore opening our mouth. You can set any auto response, like an out of office response.
/mail --> options --> Vacation Response
And if a person forgot the log off his or her account I might just log them off myself, or depending on the situation, might set the auto responce to teach them a hard learn lesson. I would not send email from their account though.
If your case, I'd definitely deleat all the addresses and emails, since you are such a know-it-all and should know better. ÝI'd delete your account but in most cases you need the person's password!! Oh, I'm sure you will have the auto-fill option checked on your brower anyways!!

IMO opening someone's email is intentional snooping. ÝIt's hard to accidentally open all the emails and read the contents as implied in Roland's post.
I did thought of using words like slim, improbable, etc., but decided to use none because to be a terrorist (Muslim kind in my mind these days) you have to be an extremist and a Muslim extremist would not be someone who makes a living from the P4P scene.
One thing I do agree with you and that is the thread is getting pretty messed up and hard to continue logically as people are going all over the place with their posts, but don't they (the threads) all ended up that way. ÝLOL.
