oh wookie i am so with you, that is exactly how i feel when i am in pattaya. i hate this place nothing compared to bangkok. the only problem is that i have a couple of friends there i do like to visit 4-5 times a year. but people ofer there are really like 'neanderthalers'!

First thanks for all the input im learning alot.
Id like to separate myself and my persona from whatever is disliked about african american in LOS.
Im 6' 190lbs slightly muscular well toned, reddish/brown skin, clean shaven and bald..(similar to sailor id think)
But ive gone 6 yrs college , homeowner and well paying job in southern california. very diverse, white friends etc..

Ive had women from every nationality from all parts around the world.(no lye, not bragging)and being that ive been discriminated so much during my childhood from going to all white rich schools.
I think im used to it,(racism) and expect it. I believe also that there my have been black visitors(sailors) before me whom my have pre-set the descriptions of blacks in genral. "am i working uphill, even before i land?"
Honestly , I get pussy everyday and im not couped up on a ship for 4 months like sailors. My attitude is highly diffrent, inquizitive. hell, im not coming to LOS for the girls only.
Ive never paid for sex in my entire 32yrs of life. but i will, dont get me wrong.
Ive been many forengn girls first "black" expeirence here in tha states and otherwise. And thats usually how i like it. but racism from other travelers is probably more sour than the racism from the home country, in this case LOS. (wookie)

ÝSome say it is the African population there but if you are light skinned you may not be equated with African. ÝThe gogo scene. ÝMoney rules if you are buying drinks then you have the pick of the bar. ÝSome women have encountered nice black men and have come to prefer them. ÝThat is the exception though. ÝJust remember the rules. ÝNever use your feet for anything including pointing (highly disrespectful, feet are the lowest part of the body). ÝIt may be because of the African population or the "chinese thais" and their beliefs (chinese thais are the lighter more slanted eyed thais). ÝDark skin equates a bad former life and being born dark is punishment. ÝThe dark thais from issan and other upcountry areas are very talkative and conversational with me. ÝThere is an African scene next to the grace hotel but I avoid it like the plague. ÝThe Africans show no affinity toward me and they have approached me with the "hey I keep seeing you where are you from" ÝI counter with "motherf_cker where are you from, I am from New York" ÝThe conversation then ends... ÝI have heard of the scams and it has been tried on me before right here in NY. ÝI did meet one nice African guy in the roof bar in Pattaya and he was so kool. ÝBuying me and the ladies drinks so don't write them all off. ÝI hate that soi 3 scene though and I avoid it. ÝLow market in all forms and you don't need to go there unless you are really adventureous and curous.
Non working girls... ÝIf you are there for a month yes you can try your luck but...
1) ÝYou must learn to speak passable Thai
2) ÝThis segment of the population REALLY may not have had any interaction with black folk
3) ÝIf you deflower one then you ARE attached (shotgun wedding mean anything to you?)
4) ÝDates the first couple are CHAPERONED ÝAfter that then you may have to call police to get her out of your crib. Ý
Just go for the pay for play scene. ÝBesides payment in the morning the experience is the same as going to the mall and picking up. ÝWell almost the same but the pros of p4p way out weigh the pros of picking up.
Also let me add. DO NOT get involved with ANY kind of drugs in LOS. I HAVE but I will never do it again. I get high to forget my situation in the USA. Why do that in LOS? What is there to forget? Get drunk off your ass but don't get involved in drugs. The death penalty has been given out before. If you must score get a thai girl who smokes and MAKE her carry it. A 2 week jail stint, 50000 baht fine and persona non grata in your passport for 2 years will be a 200 baht payment to the police for your Thai honey.
Just don't do it. I never will again because I got high and then thought "what the hell for I am in Thailand". I guess I just wanted to see what it was like but I felt more paranoid than I ever did in my life. I had visions of the man of the house tipping off the police for a payoff. So I tucked it away in my bag for the rest of the trip and rememberd it... On the highway on the way to the f_cking airport. Talk about sweatin bullets. I had to dump the shit out the window. Stupid stupid stupid.
