But after read some two page back and read first posting by Vinny, I certainly sure this about pretty chicks seduce farang / western guy to be fallin in love.

I may not be the hippest in terms of women's lib. But it has occured to me even before I lived in Bkk that a woman appreciates a provider. There may be something instinctual about it.
I have been around women of different countries, been with them, and been in them. I don't see a heck of a lot of difference in this natural motivation. Some of them (we with chagrin or pleasure call Whores) demand much more for more and more money. Others are more easily satisfied in that respect (and often turn out to be better lovers). Compromise is sufficient. "Free Love"? Amazing seductionary pedagoguery (sp?).
That is as succinct as I can express it. You realize, taking your whole life into consideration, what you can afford--on every level. You are a man. You are lonesome. You want a woman. Wow, 5 years and counting! My TGF and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary this week, hard to believe it's been that long, where the hell did all the time go?
She's still gainfully employed in BKK, having finished her 4 years of schooling and post-Mattayom courses a year ago, and I'm still marooned here in Amerika for the moment, so I sent her a little C.A.R.E. package with some odds and ends, and with an anniversary gift. Among the odds and ends were two boxes of microwave popcorn. She's mentioned that the T.V. adds are pushing Pop Secret but she couldn't find it in 7-11.
Was chatting with her on our anniversary day when she and her cousin (who is her current roommate in the new apartment) attempted to cook their first batch in the microwave. You'd think I was trying to land Apollo 11 on the moon, as she translated my realtime instructions to her cousin, who manned the microwave oven. But they succeeded, the Eagle had landed, and for the next twenty minutes (on video Skype) I could hear and see the "crunch, crunch, crunch" of popcorn in my ear. And the Isaan banter between them about how good it was.
So we got to the big moment, she opens the little gift box with the anniversary gift I'd sent her. It was a woman's dress watch, something I'd shopped for on and off over the last couple of years. Good quality, the usual gold and diamonds on the face type deal.
The conversation went something like this:
Balls: "Yes, you can open it now, it's our anniversary day."
TGF: "Okay, I open..." [she unwraps the box]
TGF: "Oh, velly pretty, you know my other watch, it die two month ago." [a gift from another farang she was dating at the time we met]
Balls: "Those are real diamonds, so now you have the diamond you always wanted." [okay, so they are cheap industrial chips stuck to the band and the face, I'm not the owner of the Taj Mahal]
TGF: "Thank you velly much teelakja. Hmmm, so they real dia-mond and gowd?"
Balls: "Yes, real."
TGF: [with a mischievous grin] "You think I can sell for good money?"
Balls: "Oye, mai dai! Cannot sell anniversary watch!"
TGF: "Pootlen [joking]. It velly nice! But I need to make short, kinda big for my arm. I take to department store to get fixed this week!"
I'd had the farang girl at the sales counter in Amerika try it on, as I'd picked a watch with the shortest band I could find. It was tight on her, but draped off my TGF's arm, 4 or 5 links too long. And this was a fairly trim farang girl, by current USA standards. Wow, the USA is really getting fat.
We chatted a while longer, shared a few reminisces, and then said goodbye. A day in the life of a 5 year relationship. How many more days or years? Will it end this year or next month? Frankly, I have no idea. I'm surprised it's been that long, surprised every month that we've made it through another 30 days. But when I look back over 5 years of digital photos, it surprises me how many adventures and misadventures we've shared. Maybe it's not so much about the big, big things -- yes there have been some of those, both good and profoundly bad -- maybe it's also about the little day to day things too, the slow curing glue that keeps things together.

I looked at Pop Secret here in Amerika, and decided to get her the Orville Redenbacher popcorn, as it had half the fat and cholesterol. Figured if I was going to send her junk food, I'd try to keep her off the slippery slope of high fat/cholesterol. So her watch will still fit, five years from now, lol. Costs about 35 baht per bag here, not sure what it costs in LOS.
