Some guys hire P.I.'s another hires off duty police many will go thru the girls purse, root around her cell phone. FOR WHAT PURPOSE? Jeesus you know nothing about these girls/be with them s/t for a couple of weeks or month or so and then what? When you get on the plane the FANTASY goes POOF. If it doesn't, don't come back your setting yourself up for a world of hurt.
I agree with ccvvbb on posting the emails. I'm thinking what comes over guys when they meet these women? Beats the hell out of me? I email a few gilrs and not a one has ever asked me for money. If they did, that's the last email they would ever receive from me. 12 days but whose counting.

It's not as simple as how you make it out to be.
I don't think many people hire Ýa P.I because they had a s/t with the tg. Many hire then because they are deciding whether or not to sponsor them. And we can go on and on about sponsorship, but that is not the intetion of this thread.
It's like investing in a stock. Before I go and drop down money on a stock, I make sure to do my homework and get as much information as ÝI can. ÝSame can be said about hiring a P.I to investigate a tg. It ensures that you get the answers to whatever questions you have before opening the wallet/bank.

IMO: That is because it sound like you don't invest any emotions into being with the female, which is fine. No where is it written it has to any more then "slam bang thank you mam".
But Ý... please don't go knocking the other people that do invest and have a relationship with them that is more then just sex.

- Correct ABC, - normally it is when a guy is sponsering a girl, and often waiting for a Visa application, that for the US for example, may take up to 12 months, - normally they want to know if perhaps the girl is attending school as she say's, has stopped working/freelancing etc. - in short, they dont wish to be taken for a complete fool ; by and large, these things can be checked easily enough, without getting into too many devious methods, the fact is the girl has already shown she is happy to converse with, and strike up a relationship with a farang - so why not another one ? - Normally I just have to chat away, "Big brother" style - let it be made known I already have a girlfriend/wife, but just like chatting about things in general - and the Girls are happy to confide in you - especially when speaking Thai, and being able to sympathise with them over some of the hassles a TG has putting up with a farang ! In the long run, I think often alot of money/heart-ache is saved, by getting such a report, as pointed out, the Guy here for a fun time, and having a BG fantasy, dosent really need to worry about such details, and in fact, after chatting to Guys via my site, pointing out a few basic cultural differences, many agree that they "dont want to know" - and thus keep the image/dream alive - something I can understand.

Wow, this thread has taken on a life of its own. Correct me if I'm wrong ccvvbb, but my original take of your posting was that you were simply trying to warn people of the danger of taking the adventure too seriously. Just enjoy it and forget it.

ccvvbb's post bought to light some interesting conflict for me. I'm one of the people that would hire a P.I to investigate what the tg said and all. This would mean getting access and information on her bank accounts, phone records, daily routine, ex-bf's. You name it, I Ýmost likely was able to get it.

FIRSTLY :- My point was - if you can break accepted ethical and moral norms by prying into her private correspondence without her permission - then why are we denouncing her for scamming a "customer" when there is no accepted norm for this .
SECONDLY :- Just because you would hire a PI to investigate a BG does not justify prying into her correspondence . ThaiPrivateEye has posted his views in response to your post and nowhere does he mention that he would do anything that was illegal or morally / ethically incorrect . Sure he would investigate by talking to the BG & her friends and get other information in a legal manner - but I don't see him saying that he would get into anyone's private correspondence illegally .
THE BOTTOM LINE IS :- We grant ourselves the right to take any action that we see as in our interest but we cry foul the minute a BG does anything that she thinks is in her interest .

I agree with your points/post, especially your bottom line.
What I guess I should've made clearer was that I used a different P.I, then TPE.
And they got me bank info, phone records, pictures of her family, her family tree so to speak, work schedule, daily schedule .... the whole 9 yards.
I am sure they did not just walk up to the female and ask her to volunteer the information.
So ... I'm just as quilty of invasion as the person who goes into someones email account. And this is why I did not post anything about the email other then not looking at it once the person has the information they need. I figured to do so would be hypocritical of me.
This was just self-evaluation on my part. Something that I never really thought of as invasion. I figured a P.I is getting me information I wanted and how they got it was their business.
Now .. before I get slammed her for asking for all this information, it would be better served if members read the thread of sponsorship amounts. Then it would probably make sense.
I've also used the P.I to ensure the female was telling the truth about being of legal age for my business associates.
Anyways ............... all this is in the past.
