Since returning home in America, I have been talking to a BG whom I spent one week with during my last trip to Phuket. She sends a text message to my cell phone daily, which I don't mind. However, after speaking with her on the phone today, I am now a little concerned that she has become too "clingy," even though I am sure I have not said anything stupid such as "I lub you."
The warning sign came when I told her that I would be spending 3 months in Bangkok during my next trip in July. After telling her, she immediately said "I stay with you in Bangkok." I thought that might be alright if she stayed with me part of the time, because she is a lot of fun. However, she then said "you call me when you come to bangkok and I meet you at airport." Doh! I don't want her to meet me at the airport because I wanted to butterfly for a few weeks before seeing her. How can I get out of this one without hurting her feelings much? any ideas?

The usual way (been discussed many times in these fora) - give her adate of your arrival several weeks past when you actually arrive. Then, get there, butterfly around, and then finally call her a couple of weeks later, preferably at a really odd time, and tell her you JUST got in, and that you went to the hotel because you did not want her to get you at such an ungodly hour from the airport.
Make sure your room is impeccable, and that all your clothes are packed again in your suitcase (the last part is key if you want her to believe you)

Change hotel, one hotel for the hunting part and another one for the together-part.
I did not do that, but had acouple of days on my own before TGF came to stay with me. She flew in too, so my excuse was that we had different arrival times, obviously mine beeing before hers. However,, when we checked her in she had to sign a card for the room, which had the relevant data, my sign-in 2 days before etc, etc. I tried a distraction routine qith my key-card, but was only partially success-full.
Got away with it, but will do the two-hotels - tactics next time.

Thanks for the ideas. I figured I would do something similar to telling her I just got in. The separate hotels is another option once she is there.
I wonder if they say they will meet you at hotel because they know you will butterfly. Seemed odd that she said she would meet me at airport instead of just calling her when I arrived in hotel. I think I made a mistake by telling her I would be there three months also. I'll probably want to mess around during those three months, but don't want to cause a big scene with TGF. It's probably been discussed before, but I am a newbie to the TGF scene.
This newbie thanks everyone for such a great forum.

I think that this may be more common than people think.
I had a close friend who would occasionally treat me appallingly. It often occurred when she was drunk but it was not a nice experience for me. A previous boyfriend had also remarked on this to her. He was resident in Thailand & knew a little bit more about the Thai culture.
It stems from an emotional trauma in adolescence (late teens) for which she received no counselling. She is/was also very close to her father..a bit too close for me (altho' I am not suggesting anything more than that). I just think that her father may not have the positive influence that he thinks he may have & is possibly restricting her emotional growth.
Trying to get her to seek some counselling was a big no-no..not even up for consideration.
It's a shame because deep down she was a nice woman. The way Thais deal with their problems really upsets me at times because it does not allow them to fulfil their potential. They have such a fear of expressing their true feelings to anyone. The mental wellbeing, particularly of bar girls, is not considered worthy of attention. I find this a little sad.

Why not just tell her you like to butterfly, or has she stopped working while youv'e been away???
You might be suprised how it can all work out, just give her a week or so of your stay.
