Cipro is fine to take here or there. Your not going to build up a resistance to any drug unless you take a lot of it. My own doc has given me cipro several times for chest problems.
There is another drug called Tequin that you can use instead. All can be found in ANY Thai drug store.
The good thing about cipro is... it will clear up gonorrhea no matter where you have it. You can get it in your eyes, throat, anal cavity or urethra. It will clear all those up, while Tequin will only clear up your cock (urethra).
Zithromax will treat clymidia NOT gonorrhea. A lot of people mix this up. You can only get clymidia in your cock.

Mostly assisted by dumb-ass users who can't follow their doctor's directions, or who self-medicate and are too dumb to do so (i.e. stop taking the antibiotics once their symptoms clear up -- thus leaving the most resistant bacteria alive to reproduce and spread).
Rule of Thumb: When the doctor gives you a 10 day supply, TAKE IT FOR 10 DAYS. When you self-medicate, be sure to take it for 10 days, minimum. Once you start taking antibiotics, you MUST finish the regimen (unless there are counter-indications). Seems simple enough, you'd think.

Also dispose of any unused anti-biotics using the correct method,, chucking them down the toilet is another way to help build resistant strains of bugs.

Keflex (Cephalexin) is the universal travel drug for upper respiratory or skin infections, and Cipro is the drug of choice for everything else while away from home.
Vancomycin is incredibly strong for Staph infections resistant to Keflex. It once saved my life after a 9 hour heart operation. It's rarely used outside of a hospital, which is also where most people like myself get the resistant form of the bug anyway.
You won't build up a resistance, even using them once or twice a year. It's people who are taking these things for viruses who are endangering all of our futures. Amoxicillin is still drug of choice for Strep, not of much value for other serious infections.
Good advice. Take it for the right number of days and don't flush it down the toilet. Pharmacies and hospitals also flush it rather than pay a disposal service. In Colorado, where I live, the fish were changing sexes last year because of all the hormones in one particular river.
I'm a pharmacist. If I wasn't so old, I would be studying for the Thai board exam.
Back to NPL. Look for Joy. She stands by the entrance late at night. Really beautiful, incredible in bed. 35, but doesn't look it, has high voice, resembles Janet Jackson in many respects. My plane puts me in BKK at around midnight and the last two trips I stayed at Nana Hotel. Witnessed a guy punch a katoey in the parking lot and a Dutch guy spit on some BG in the Nana bar. I'm staying on Soi 18 this time but think that I'll end up at NPL for some reason. Or maybe I should check out Thermae (??).
