First of all, let me introduce you, I am Indonesian, and have relation with many kind of Thai girls. I already read many statement in this forum that describe Thai woman like a man eater or horrible monster. Well I have to said that what all of you think is not 100% correct.
In every where there's always a good man/woman and bad ones. Some girls have good personality some have bad and this not only in night woman but also in well educated executive woman. Like thais, do you think you can expect so much with bar girls? This kind of girls even in Thai society have problem if married with rich high social life Thais man. It is true, this not because their bad habit but because different class in Thai culture it self. You have to know all girls in the world will take care their father and mother specially in asia. Another fact is their social economy problem will make them to find rich man to support their poor life. With the limitation of education what will you do to find easy money? Of course married a farang boyfriend. I have Singaporean friends that married with Thai woman. He's in happy life, because his wife have good personality and came from well educated environtment. Maybe you never find "normal" good working girls, of course what do you expect if you looking girlfriend from nighlife society? My suggestion is for man in here, please wake up, don't wasting your time looking for real partner from nightlife society.

It's easy to condemn, especially when you hadn't done anything at all to help her out, or to try to understand her. I *know* that you are starting to realize your mistakes, and that you are possibly getting a better glimpse into her motivations now, but, as the saying goes - the damage is done.

This kind of stuff is sad and heartwrenching, and I feel for you. Then again, that's why the French have invented the expression "C'est la vie" (mildly equivalent to the far more classy US version of "Life's a bitch"  , and why Thailand has 'mai pen lai'

Maybe I should have clarified more, but the 'evil' comment was directed at all those bitter dudes who had one bad experience and now all Thai girls (or all women) are evil.
Like someone else said, regarding that issue :"Look in your own mirror"
Good points made on your end, but as you said that many of the experiences in the book reflect your own - that is to be expected if you hang out in the same demographics. If I keep hanging out with ONLY bar girls, I would expect a certain set of shared behaviors and similar events. In other words, when walking into McDonald's, don't expect Filet Minion.
Hence, in the origin of this thread, you certainly didn't state that they were 'evil', but you certainly brought up qualities projected on an entire cultural group, that would only fit a very small minority of that group. Maybe not 'evil', but it certainly implied a degenerate personality.

I still have contact with her. I am thinking if I should write something...
it's a weird situation, I did not go into all the details. why I did or did not help. at that time she even would not accept help.
and I only realised how much she meant to me when we grew apart. also I moved my cheese, and was very busy in my new venture and had to move from sukhumvit soi 4 to lamlukka, which is 35 km from the city, absolutely no excuse, but many things happened that time.
but nevertheless I should have acted sooner...
she was really bitter, just before and when she left. tequilas helped her to change her moods.
all because of me?? partly, for sure. I didn't feel so good either.
