It seems that people have a very different idea of what quality is in Thailand. I call it the Thailand effect, it's where for the first time in their life guys go to a country with a much higher proportion of decent looking women than back home. Upon arrival their brain automatically short circuits and cuts into standby mode working at 25% mental capacity. They can't quite comprehend that the "hot" chick that they chose here is in fact quite ugly or below average by typical Thailand standards. It's true that in the west she may be considered ok looking when compared to some of the ill tempered neanderthal western women but in Thailand the bar is raised significantly. Unfortunately, the punter's brain has yet to process this (some never do) so they always pick subpar.
It's the same with every expat forum on Thailand..you'll have guys bragging about their "stunner" and then when you see pics you wonder what the hell they are talking about.

i dont care if one likes ugly or pretty. but I take offense when guys say they get pretty for 500 or 1000 baht...lol.
im too young to appreciate the ugly hookers...lol.

I just returned from LOS, and wanted to comment on the Nana Hotel and car park experience.
My first night in BKK, arrived at the Nana Hotel around 1:30am. Head to my room for a quick shower and shave and then down to the lobby to see if there was any action to be had.
At that time of the morning, the car park was hopping, and the Nana lobby was a plethora of ladies.
Sitting there chatting with a local BKK (USA) expat and along comes two SWEEEEEET little ladies that were acquaintances of the lad I was chatting with. They were a little drunk having just left the disco, but but they were gorgeous and sweet. We took them to one of the Thai roadside food vendors right there along Sukhumvit for a late night cauldron of boiling Thai soup containing everything but the kitchen sink.
It was delicious. And so were the two TGs, of which I was graced with their company for the remainder of the night.
As for the action at Nana and the car park.... I definitely prefer the laid back, liesure atmosphere of the lobby and car park, and a nice roadside snack before hitting the sack, to the high pressure go-go routine.
The selection of girls is quite good, actually there were a lot of stunners, and the FL pricing is more to my liking..... or licking..... whatever.

Well Gus, I didn't really think about it, but I imagine these two ladies had just left the disco. Of course that was no garauntee.
Who am I kidding? I didn't care. I had never been in this predicament, faced with sooooo many pretty girls that were sooooo ready to keep me company, and were very pleasant and fun to be with.
That was the thing that I think struck me the most about Thailand and the girls/ladies. Yes, they're just prostitutes, and we're just paying them for their time and bodies, but they were for the most part all sweet and friendly, and seemed to enjoy having your company.
I don't know, maybe I was just overcome with happiness. Whatever it was, I had a great time, thats for sure.

Excuse my newbieness (is there such a word??), but Nana Parking Lot is at NEP or Nana Hotel location? Correct me if I'm wrong but Nana Hotel is across the street from NEP, right? So where is the famous Nana Parking Lot? On NEP or Nana Hotel?
Yeah, yeah... here goes the newbie again... Hey, that's the wonderful thing about this website. All the veteran helping out the newbie to make their BKK experience an enjoyable and memorable one. Kudos to all the BKK veterans. If this was a military, I give you all a medal... haah!! Thanks ahead for the info.

I think you guys need to be careful throwing around the word Stunner on here. Newbies will be very disappointed when entering the Nana Parking lot. There are not ALOT of stunners in the Nana Parking lot at 2AM. A Posieden sideline model is a STUNNER. Adriana Lima is a STUNNER. There are a few cute girls in Nana Parking lot if you look, but not stunners.

A few weeks ago I visited the nana parking lot one night just as NEP was closing. There were quite a few girls there, but very few who interested me. Maybe it was a bit too early since the bg's had not yet had time to change and get there. It was about 1:15 am.
There was 1 really cute girl who spoke very little Englis.....but she did know how to say "2,000 short time" A little pricey since it seemed the going rate was 1000.
