Chocalate would be one of many diferrent ways that these sicko's would entice kids, lollies, toys, promises, there's nothing these sicko's will stoop to to get what they want.
I suppose the only way to slow these sickos down is to educate our kids, but this takes time and money.

was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport, where he allegedly attempted to board a flight with child pornography, sexual aids and nearly 100 pounds of chocolate.
I'm noticing a trend - namely these these sickos are also incredibly stupid - which, I guess, goes with the territory. Similar to Walter Schirra, Jr., this guy also packed his suitcase full of pornography, sex toys, and candy. If only it were always that easy to identify such sickos.
I suppose the only way to slow these sickos down is to educate our kids, but this takes time and money.
Educating your kids is certainly the number one defense, but if you read closely, your kids are generally not the targets of such animals - it's the kids of poor families, kids that are already walking the streets, and in destitute situations, invariably in third world countries - so, as long as the 'lure' of this crap exists, how do you comprehensively stop this from happening?
More critical, how much of such crap is going on locally motivated, i.e how much local economic support for this trafficing and business is there?
The unfortunate thing is that invariably Thailand catches the brunt of the fallout from news, while the surrounding countries bathe in obscurity.

"... a new federal law aimed at fighting sex tourism."
The Protect Act has nothing to do with sex tourism! It's a set of laws to stop child abuse. f***ing media idiots.
