All,
A TG I met on my last trip wrote me recently the following email shortly after I told her I was coming back to bKK:
Hi XX,
I hope you still remember me. I have a thing to distrub you. Now I am in the hospital, I just took operation about appendix. Now I gonna better, but I still have the problem. that is my company, they have no Social Security, so that means I have to pay for the hospital by my own. It is the big problem for me, as you know I have not much money.
after reading this mail I hope you will understand my situation, now I am in the hospital but I ask a man who used to work in my company (who help me get hotmail) write you and let you know about this. Please call me after you have read this! I need your help.

99% Scam. Ask to see the scar next time you meet her. Even if it's there, chances are another punter has already paid for it (and some still yet to come, lol!). Besides, if she went to a local government hospital, the cost of "care" is far cheaper than the upscale hospitals. And remember the thread here wherein one member talked about the b/g who had a fake scar and stitches made so that punters would pay her?
Call me a cynic, but the buffalo died a long time ago.

All hospitals keep records of patients and operations
Start out by asking her which hospital, can you get the number tothe hospital switcboardso you can call her,
next you need the hospital records to evaluate the operation with regards to how muc yo have to pay them.
you would not pay her, right, you would pay the hospital directly on her behalf.
Besides, if she has no insurance, would they operate?
No, they would want to know that she or her insurance can pay.
So, if this is real they have not operated yet.

Dear Latrell,
My new TGF and I wrote emails and called each other for almost two months after I left LOS before she asked me for money. Her story was that her father had defaulted on an old bank loan and the bank was going to repossess the farm. I decided not to bang my head against the wall trying to figure out if the story was literally true or not. You have to make a judgment based on your entire relationship with the girl. Based on my relationship I was inclined to believe that there was at least a kernel of truth in it. Nonetheless, I wasn't at the point where I trusted her completely. So I just explained that "our relationship is still a baby. You don't ask a baby to carry a load. You have to feed the baby first, then he gets confident and strong and can do many things." I know it sounds sappy, but it worked. She respected this position and continued to nourish the relationship with sanook phone calls and emails. On my side, I never called her a liar, and I continued to offer some hope for the future. In the meantime, we were able to get our bearings in the relationship, and give the truth a chance to reveal itself. For what it's worth, this approach has worked well for me.

all companies have to pay to the goverment about 7 % or something and all people working get a CARD with free treatment. So there you go 100 % bull. Second if she does not got that she is covered under the 30 THB sceam that goverment has. So she is coverd any way, maybe not in a 5 star hospital but anyway.
Third but not least THAT is a standard letter that you will find in any good internet cafe even mine.

...my T/G from Phuket is now asking me to send her money for English lessons - 4,500 bht - after we both agreed it would be good for her, so we can communicate better. She apparently started her English lessons about 3 weeks ago.
....and then she says she needs another 2,000 bht because she cut her foot on a broken coke bottle...and she had to go to hospital..!
I am trying to check out the cost of her English lessons, anyone know how much a hospital visit would cost...?
