I have been contemplating an idea for some months.
I have a Mia Noi here in bangkok and I am looking to set her up into a nice condo.
The problem I have with this is that it seems to be a great waste of resources, both hers and mine.
I would be interested to know if any gents out there would like to share a condo in this scenario and share the costs with their Mia Noi also living in the condo.
I see two possible paths to take. Firstly I envisage a condo of two bedrooms costing around 25,000baht, let us say that with added expenses it rounds out at 30,000baht. Going half in this cost would be a very sensible alternative.
The second path could actually involve also sharing my Mia Noi as well as the expenses. This would result in a 40,000baht outgoing expense for each of us only.
Now with alternate weekends and every other night sharing, we can actually keep my girl busy and make full use of the condo and facilites, rather than just on a urge felt basis from time to time.
If anybody is seriously interested, please PM me. Obviously there would be some criteria to meet, some personal habits that would not be tolerated and so on, but lets discuss your habits and see if we can get along.

That's what I always understood myself, and this attempt definitely appears to be a case of desperately attempting to live above one's means...
Seriously, though -- I fail to see the benefit of the whole mia noi scenario, when clearly 'renting' is far cheaper than leasing, or trying to own -- particularly as one has to wonder if the headaches and eventual complications (read up on all the mio noi potential issues) are worth, in Alifco's case, the hassles and the sacrifices.
Even in the shared scenario, if you're just sharing living expenses, you're still looking at around 20,000 Baht per month == 240,000 Baht per year (not counting extras). That's roughly $5,800 a year.
Personally, I'd break that down into how much a pop that ends up costing you, and then figuring out if that's really worth it. Personally, I don't feel it would be -- Alifco's mileage, of course, may vary.

I think this would have a bigger problem attached... if you get two mia nois together and they start bending each others ear, look out!
Sharing your mia noi, while I am sure could be interesting, would be tough to imagine her readily agreeing to that scenario.
Unless you tell her it is me that would be sharing!!
