Teddy bears are a tried and true inexpensive gift for TGs. Forget other stuffed animals, it’s teddy bears that count. Miniature bears, about 2” tall, are the favorites, but all smaller bears, up to 5” or 6” are appreciated. Larger than that and TGs tend to think of them as toys for children rather than collectibles befitting sexy girls. TGs will certainly accept a larger bear as a present, but will pass it on to the baby or child of a friend/relative, rather than keep it themselves.
You can get the miniature bears for a buck or so in WalMart and similar discount stores, even cheaper just after Valentine’s Day. Because the bears have proved so popular with TGs inside and outside P4P, I usually carry 20 to 40 with me to LOS, depending on how active I plan to be and how much space I have in my suitcase. Doesn’t really matter how many I take with me, I could give away many more, they’re in such high demand. If I run across an appealing 5” bear, I usually get it as well as a present for a special girl.
It’s astounding the effect teddy bears can have on some BGs. One cute 20-something literally bounced with joy on my bed after getting a nice 5” bear. When it was time to sleep after a session of particularly enthusiastic sex, she grabbed the bear again and slept all night hugging it. When she awoke the next morning, she continued to make a fuss over the bear. I had ordered a room service breakfast and she carried the bear to the table, then even pretended to feed it.
I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry – at least I was relieved we weren’t having breakfast in the Executive Lounge. It amused me that a girl who was expert at anal sex and thought nothing of CIM, swallowing and even more advanced activities could find so much joy in such a simple thing. On the other hand, I found it vaguely disturbing she related to a teddy bear in the same way as my three-year-old niece.
About 10 years ago, while I was working a 36-month stint in Beijing, I returned to the U.S. during February on home leave. A colleague had asked me bring her back some miniature bears, heart-shaped chocolates and hair baubles - the kind girls use to hold pony tails in place. She planned to give them as favors to the guests at a combination birthday/Valentine’s Day party for her six-year-old daughter. I figured those three categories- bears, chocolate and hair baubles, would make good gifts for the BGs in LOS I planned to see on my way back from the States before returning to Beijing. So I bought the 10 of each my colleague had requested, then 20 of each for my own purposes.
I had anticipated my gifts would prove popular at the bar, but wasn’t prepared for quite the reaction that occurred. The girls shrieked with delight and some almost fought over bears or baubles that were deemed particularly desirable. Pink, sparkly hair baubles and female teddy bears with skirts were the most sought after.

I have also done this on my trips to Thailand. Purchased about 40 bears for Valentines '05 at a $1 each and they were a huge hit. Also cannisters of glowsticks will get you mugged by all the girls in a bar. Picked up 15 bracelets for a $1 at the "dollar store". I've had girls lower the asking price just for a 1 dollar bear and the mamasan even lowered the BF amount. Works wonders. I usually give out one bear to my favorite and see what happens.

This was quite a few years back, but I gave a particularly desirable bear to a girl in a Patpong bar. Another girl badgered me all night for one as well, even offering to give me a BJ in one of the bar's dark corners (it wasn't a BJ bar). Unfortunately, I only had the one bear with me.
On my latest trip, one BG told me her friend had tried to steal the bear I'd given her. I don't know if she meant playfully steal or really steal, but there was maximum pressure (and not just psychological) for another bear.
In terms of return on money, miniature teddy bears are one of the best investments a LOS traveler can make. Put a glowy or sparkly bracelet/necklace on a teddy bear and you'll have a gift the girls will kill for.

I must concur with Evil.
On my many trips to LOS and also Vietnam I always pack 20 or 30 " koala bears" ( being an aussie).
They are extremely popular and the ladies appreciate them "GREATLY".
Although a word of caution.....I was in a quiet bar that had several good looking ( but bored ) looking ladies. I was sitting at a table alone, the only other customers in the place where two other Farangs,,,,,once the bears where produced the bar suddenly came to life and I was surrounded by all seven girls, the looks of distain ( eyes of daggers) that came from the other table where nearly as amusing as the antics of the girls.
Yes Evil, the similarities between the reactions of BG's and 6 year olds is amazing.Not just their love for bears etc but also look at their "make - up cases" or T shirts when they are not working, usually covered in cartoon characters. It would seem the little girl in Thai women lives for longer, long live the Thai women!!!!

I smile as I read of the reactions that BG and 6-year olds gave you. I was the guest of a small dinner party that a bunch of old online chat friends gave me. Well, it was at a very nice Chinese seafood restaurant and I decided to arrive early - mostly out of fear of getting lost and arriving late.
I had flown in From work in Korea that morning. It was on Valentines Day. I brought small heart-shaped boxes of chocolate for each woman and a few extra for friends.
Same reaction. Women are the same everywhere, my friends. they love the small gifts that would delight a girl. To all you travellers, I recommend such small gifts highly. A surprise gift such as that goes a long way to showing some thoughtfulness and fun.

I agree with you guys on the teddy bears. President Theodore Roosevelt of the US certainly made this little fella famous.
And to this present day people all over the world still love little teddy.
Also coming from OZ, I always bring over 2-3 doz bears about 2" high and a dozen or so kangaroos with the Aussie markings on them. When I arrive at my usual bar, Down Under Bar soi 7/1 (no money in this for me) I hand them to the new girls and see the reactions on their faces, they absolutely love them. The older girls still carry the ones I had given them on previous trips.
The girls tuck them into their tops and some say to me, "When teddy get hungry he can have my baby milk", just gotta love these girls.
Also I bring with me little key rings with Aussie symbol, you know, the kangaroo, koala bear, opera house or map of OZ on them. Only cost AUD 10 for $7.00 and come in a nice black box, they look expensive though.
My previous trip in May, I was with 3 other Aussies and we were at Midnite bar SC. A dispute happened when the check bin came and it was getting very heated with the girl and one of the Aussies. I produced one of the boxed key rings and handed it to the girl and that broke the ice. She went from a f....n screaming maniac to a little lamb in about 20 seconds. That did it, money worked out, no more problem and back to laughter.
It does not take a lot of money to make these people happy and do not confuse this with bringing trinkets to the Indians. It is to show our appreciation to them, thats all. If you can get a freebie with such a gift good luck to you.

So you boys and girls who go to LOS, spend a bit of money in your country buy some little bears. It is not going to break your bank and it will make a TG a little bit happier.
