Ive run into this problem so many times. My latest TGF is 18 years old as was the last and the one before her 17. As most nightclubs/discos require proof of age 20+ via thai id card, Im unable to get us into a club. Occasionally, ive managed to bribe the door staff with a couple hundred baht but it is just a hassle as there attituder can vary so much.
Now im in Chiang Mai and was refused entry to Bubbles and Mandalay. Can anyone advise? (I am not beyond buying a recreated thai ID card if I knew where)

well, what exactly are you looking for? you're asking people on here to advise you on how to get your gf into clubs, even though it's illegal for her to be in them?
what do you want us to do? get a time machine and make her two years older?
You have a very simple choice. Do as Daffy suggests, or decide you won't take her to clubs. It's not rocket science.

One of my Thai colleagues advises me that there are 'translation/law firms' around Pratunam/Ratchadamri that offer a fake ID service.
But, she warns this is illegal!

Also can get them on Khosan Road - pick one of the more shifty looking Thai guys selling fake student cards - they have computers set up nearby with all the required info - just take the TGs pic with you, but make sure it is a plain picture, and she is not smiling - Thais are not allowed to smile in an ID pic - if you see one that is, its a fake ! - also they have some wavy lines and clour thru the new ones, but these are hard to see at night, and most clubs dont check, or care - they are covered as long as you produce an ID.
