For some of the longer visitors to LOS - just wonder if you know or see any BGs/P4Ps etc from 5-10-15 yrs back.... Often wonder what happened to some of the more memorable ones, but in truth, guess we probably would not really like a reunion !
Whilst most will remain 'MIA' here is a few I know of :
1.Mid 90's, one of the little stars around Thermae/Nana was Nam from Nong Khai. Real little cutie, 18-19, I had to almost wait in line to get a turn, and for sure I was outbid on more than a few occassions.
She regularly dissapeared for 12 months or so, but then would be back - by this time, I spoke Thai, and she was a buddy rather than a fresh young thing I had to sample, so I learnt that she had had a child, to an afterwards unseen farang - a couple of years later, same scenario, and at last count, had produced 3 'Luk krung' to assorted Unknown fathers.
Her trips to Bangkok were less frequent, but still in times of desperation, she would arrive on the bus - and then took to hanging around on the street corner of soi 7 late at nights... a tied, well worn, 30 yr old TG - and actually one with a good heart, humour, who deserved better, but no doubt had plenty of chances/offers along the way - and let them all slip by.
2.Same era, Riang frequented soi 7, even then she was late 20's, but didnt look it of course. Often recommended her to mates, as easy going, honest etc, eventually, when she was late 30's, pointed her to an elderly US client, who had been victim of an internet romance / scam... took him over a year to get her a visa, but now both happy in the US of A.
3. An early favourite of mine was Kradai, used to sell T-shirts during the day near suk soi 11, and go spend the earnings drinking on soi 13 later ! - loved a drink and a good time, her heart wasnt really in P4P'ing, and she learnt that mr TPE was inclined to butterfly, - so as far as I know went back home to Lopburi and married a local guy in the village.

Yes.. a rare success ! The guy met a TG [ probably not even Thai or female ] online, sent small amounts, and eventually money for airfare ! Of course no arrival - thats when he called me. After uncovering that scam, he came out to LOS, I sent him to a reputable dating agency, he sorted out a couple from there, but they obvious gold diggers also - and he wanted someone to go with him to Phuket/Chiang mai etc. So a tour of the beer garden, and the girl in question was happy to help out ; I knew her background, and that she was easy going and trustful, - end of story, he said This is the type of girl I want - and so yes, now in the US.
Biggest headache was getting her visa - as she had no correct date of birth, I think he father had snuck over the border from cambodia ! So it was a sure test, over 12 months wait.
It is sad tho the #1's around, TGs who have a great life offered to them, but at the time are young, in demand, and having a ball on the $$/Drugs/Alcohol, so opt to stay P4P'ing, rather than settle down with 1 guy ; and then 5 or 6 years later, they wake-up and realise they have missed the boat !

An ex-BGF and still velly good fren me worked bar 3 years after she kicked out her hubby for butterflying leaving her with 2 sons. She had worked at Royal Cliff Pattaya and spoke quite good English.
Last year a friend of hers had a BF who bought a hotel and needed an English speaker.
She took the plunge from 30K a month to 6K a month saying she "not want to f*** anymore for money". She borrowed money against her salary and bought a moto which she rents out.
Saves another 1K a month by leaving her room and now sleeps in a room off the lobby of the hotel.
She will accept "gifts" from 2 or 3 exBFs like me but she's out of the game with a house paid for.

from wat I know.... a handful of these TGs end up freelancing in SIN, HKG and even in S-Africa.
i've met many of them here in SIN..... some are still attractive in their early 30s, freelancing. its always a sad story.... most came back to this "profession" when their marriage in Farangland failed..some who had saved enough during their younger days found that their business (handphone, handicrafts, beauty salons..) cant survive any longer.
what else can they do back in LOS?? they cant compete with the younger and vibrant TGs. armed with the English language they learnt over the years and expericence..... they "migrate"here.
its always the same faces..... sometimes u don see them for a couple of months and they will be in Wan Chai, HKG. its a game of "cat n mouse" with the local immgration authorities, 2-4 weeks visa hree in SIN...then its off to HKG for another 4 weeks. in between....they'll go China or Macua for their visa runs or they'll be back here in SIN....
this is the life they lead...... some do stop when they have made enough, but some are so used to this sort of lifestyle... that it is already in their blood.
i'll try to post some stories about certain TGs later...

Yes, a few do get overseas, plenty in Macau also - but I was thinking more of one just about past the P4P stage... especially wonder what some Katoeys in their 40's + do with themselves ???
