You have about three choices. First you can go to the beer gardens on soi 7. They open about noon-ish. You can go to Thermae on Sukhamvit around soi 14, and finally go to the Grace Hotel coffee shop on soi 3 after about 2am. These are three places where you can get decent looking freelancers cheaper than you would in the gogo bars, especially since you're not paying a barfine. One thing to keep in mind, if you get a freelancer, always have her leave her ID at the front desk of your hotel. It's just a precaution, but with a freelancer, there is no one to go back to if she rips you off.

I had really good luck at Therma and at the beer garden adjacent to the Ambassador hotel. Hit them around midnite....they are all hunting at that time since you can't make lost income up the next day.

I found good freelancers outside Nana Plaza and The Nana Hotel. If you see any walking along the road you like, try smiling at them, if they are up for it they will come to you. Be a little more wary of freelancers though, do follow the advice of fellow posters.

Tnik about renting for 5-6 days at a time. 250 pounds should get that for you and then you have your money, have unlimted fun and have someone who will look out for you and other 350 you are hiding in your sock. I thought the cheapest freelancers were to be found on beach road in Pattaya at about 3PM, like 300 baht for the rest of the night. I realize this is a bangkok message board, but hey if your trying to get by cheap.

Anywhere within 200 meters of Nana Plaza at closing time is awesome! Also since I stay at the Nana hotel, you can just sit in the lounge as Angels disco closes and watch the parade of young lovelys. Seems like everyone is open for negotiation at this time of night. I have had up to 4 girls come up to my room for drinking and more at that time of night.
