I'm a real softie, as in I don't like to hurt people's feelings. More than once I have chosen a MG based on a photo and was quite disappointed when she came out in person. I mean not really attractive at all -- if I had met her in a bar back home I wouldn't given her a second glance.
But since she was right in front of me I didn't want to hurt her feelings by sending her back, so I went ahead and did the deed. So in effect, due to my 'politeness', I ended up paying for something worse than I would have normally been able to get for free!
Ever happen to you?

Had this before, not too often though...
I hate to be played for a sucker, that's why I learned to give up some of my politeness... just as little as necessary to get rid of *her* instead of letting my desires pass away.
It's not easy when she's standing right in front of you, but then again - some little training and growing coolness and maybe good preparation (!) as well, will help to have a white lie ready...
In such a pig in a poke situations I often do some mental training before to have my white lie ready when she turnes out to be ehhh different from what I expected...

Try to think in Asian terms,, the "loss of face" is the hurtfull thing from their point of view. Be honest ( ??) say you had a different "look" in mind for today,, give her a nice tip and then select the one you want / get what you WANT!!!
That way EVERYBODY is happy

I'm afraid the different look you had in your mind "for today" doesn't save much of her face...
I prefere to save face with lies like "I have to do this or that right now, no have time..." and you should put a lot of emphasis in this and do some real good acting... this saves face...

But who is the real victim here? If I call in an order for a 36" triple cheese pizza and the delivery kid brings a mega-bucket of fish and chips to the door, am I going to feel bad and just pay for the food anyway??? I think not.
I submit that a better response to this situation may have been to provide a nominal tip to the Mystery Gal (MG) as a courtesy, then claim that a case of the Hershey Squirts suddenly hit and that you need to head back to the hotel immediately to empty out your shorts. No harm, no foul.
