Do you find that when you have a GFE that when a TG wants you to buy them something they put on a smile that is very hard to knock back.
When you take them to a restaurant do they order the expensive items on the menu or do they order the cheap Thai food.
When you take them to a Gogo or Beer Bar do they order a cheap soft drink or juice or order a more expensive beverage.
Last week-end my TGF did all of the above and I went well over budget with all of her spending, so I've devised a plan to limit her spending.
I'm sure that most of us when we visit LOS we have a set limit for spending on shopping, food, girls, entertainment etc. even a daily limit on what we intend to spend.
If you have a TG for a length of time and you want to limit her spending then give her all the money they you have budgeted for that period of time that you will be with her. eg
If you budget 5000 bht (or more depending on you budget) per day then at the begining of each day give her the 5000 bht and tell her it is all the spending money that you have for that day and it has to cover spending for both parties for everything, food, drinks, BF, entertainment, and she does all the spending and anything leftover at the end of the day is hers to keep as her payment for her services.
You'll find that TG are great at spending our money but if they have to spend their own money then watch the spending sprees decrease.
I haven't tried it yet, but will try it this weekend and see how it goes.
The only drawback to this plan is that if you don't know the TG too well then they may try and take off with the full 5000bht before they spend anything, then you'll have to chase the money back through the bar she works for, if she is a FL then you could really say goodbye to the money.
If you know the TG well then I think it could work in our favour.

As you suggested, giving 5000 to a BG that you do not know very well is probably not a good idea.

I get no enjoyment with shopping with girls in Thailand, so this is not a problem for me.  When I am in Amereka, I can go shopping with women! 
But I'm interested in how it goes, but my guess is that the girl will not understand why you are doing such a thing as the way a Thai thinks about spending money for these types of things and the way YOU think about it are totally different.
Also, I think every girl senses a tolerance for your level of acceptance of her spending your money, then acts accordingly.

CG, This particular TG I know very well, yes it is really to limit my spending as I find it very very hard to say no to what she asks for, so at the end of the day to limit her spending will limit my spending, I will also explain to her that I spend way too much last weekend and that I know that she is very good at saving money and that is why I give her the money so "I" don't spend so much.
I'll keep you updated.

Actually I'm glad you metioned this as this could be a test for her, if I limit her spending then I'll see if she still wants me after she knows that the ATM has a limit. Also I won't have to say no anymore, if she wants me to buy her something all I have to say is 'up to you' you have all my money for this week, once the money runs out that's it.

Or she could learn to raise the ATM limit with creative spending. You could end up eating only at noodle stands, drinking beer bought at the 7/11 while sitting on the street corner and just not having much fun

As frugal with money as BG's can be, and knowing that what isn't spent is hers, you will be eating off the carts, and she is the entertainment. She will figure out a way to pocket bt4000 of it a day. It is very possible for 2 ppl to live on bt1000 a day........what, you no like to walk, it not very far to river taxi....lots to see.
Or, you could just say no. If she's halfway decent, she won't hate you for saying no, but she will keep trying at every opportunity to get you to give in.
My bodyguards order 100 pipers instead of chevas, and we eat off the carts alot, but they don't get the extra. They just don't like to see me waste my money.

You lucky guys! Getting help too spend your money!
I have a Thai girlfriend and I try to give some money to make life easier for her, but she refuses too take any money at all. I dont think she is from a wealthy familly, but she say that she is thai lady and cannot take any money. A few days ago I even tried too make her happy because I need to postpone my trip to LOS and to keep her happy I told her I could pay her a fine for each day I was late, but no way, she said she could not take any money at all. But she wanted me too come as soon as possible. When I think about it, she even pays Taxi's and Tuk Tuk's some times when we go around, I insist on paying for food/drinks etc. But she even picks up her bar bill at Landmark when we have had that as a meeting point. Is this very common? Is she just smarter? She even had a hospital bill on approx: 25 000Baht which she didnt allow me to pay either. Yesterday she said that I should stop asking her to give her money, I understand that she may be tempted to take the money, even I would be that, but why? Is it something I dont see here? Is she playing with higher stakes?
Anyone have a point of view?
