I would think the ride, sitting up close to her backside might tell you what your TG on a motorcycle may want.
Pay the money,as is customary, after the ride.
The difficulty in social etiquette would arise immediately at the start of the ride, in as much as you would probably have to think pretty quickly as to what you were going to hold on to.
On the other hand, she may have run out of petrol and assumes that you have your ATM card on you.
Beware of being left stranded at the gas station.
As for the friendly waitresses, it may vary between wanting you to bar-fine her, through seeing you after her work if it is a straight place, to at least a tip of sorts at the end, signifying that at least you are giving recoghnition of her existence and not treated as someone invisible as some people seem to do.
On the other hand, she may be married to the six foot six muscle-bound farang chef and just wants to make him jealous, in which case, watch out and duck low for flying sauce pans.

Why don't you just ask, why the 'offer' to get on your bike?
From the posts above sounds like a good idea to pass on the bike ride, along with the fact they may be a lousy driver
A friendly waitress, that may be worth exploring, carefully, probably trying for a better tip, in LOS can't help but wonder if it's something more, but with all the p4p & limited time that just doesn't get anywhere, possibly a different approach if you live there

man, that is so true (and I am sure all have had a similiar experience)... 2 trips ago I had this really, really, really cute waitress at my bungalow place in ko samet and she was totally flirting...totally..
obviously the fact this thread brought back a memory from a year and half ago indicates it is still in the back my mind..
but she was just so damn cute and she told me each morning at breakfast, with a great smile and solid eye contact, "you a good man" (I assumed just good service and for a better tip)....
but the last morning, when I checked out, she said very timidly, "you have lady yesterday, I see you with her!"...
I can only guess it was the chick that I made my one and only field report about...but IMO this waitress was angelic.
man...to this day I still think if I put in a little effort I might could have hooked up with her (at least I tell myself that lol!)
She just seemed like too good of a girl to even fathom that, but sometimes they are the most randy
