Pardon my ignorance and lack of energy to do an extensive search.... also i will add i am sure this cannot be done, but i have to ask...
I have heard TGs can get visas to go to singapore or HKK easily.... If I wanted to take one to the US on holiday let's say.... Why couldnt I get her a visa to HKK, then from HKK take her to the USA and bypass Thai strongholds on the citizens freedom to travel?
What am I missing here?

The problem is not the Thai government's "strongholds on travel". The Thai authorities have neither the legal ability (unless they refuse to issue a passport which I have never heard of) or any cause to restrict the travel of it citizens.
The problem is the US State Department. Whatever your point of departure, she has to have a visa to the US and with a Thai passport it is usually a difficult and time consuming process to obtain one. And if you, like many before you, think that because you are an American citizen w/ample funds and all the right papers your case will be different -- all I can say is you are very likely in for a disappointment.

Thai nationals do not need visas to go to either HKK or SIN. Just a passport.

.....as you say IF, IF, IF. But if no IF they do not need it. So, for the basic purpose of GOING ... they do not need it. You get it wrong even whithin your own posting. BTW, everywhere on earth when people go for more than X period, people need a visa. British nationals do not need a Visa to come to Thailand. However IF, IF, IF coming for more than 30 days, they need a Visa.
It is so easy to shoot you down, ...... You are not fun anymore. The novelty factor has passed.

so then what is this i always hear about the TG having to have alot of money in her thai bank account before she is allowed to leave? the USA checks this?? im confused....

It shouldn't be confusing. There is a screening process for issuing visas to the US for citizens of ANY country for which a visa is required. This is a necessity or else anyone could go to the US anytime they wanted and there are MILLIONS of people who would go -- some of whom would not come back and would be a potential burden on the state or would work illegally.
Unfortunately, and partly for good cause, Thais are considered a high risk and/or undesirable. However the US (and UK) embassies have long been notorious for being excewssive in thier screening processes. There are both good and unjust reasons for this as well.

I think what people often forget is that embassies have a duty of care on three fronts
1. Protect their own Nationals...in this case from unscrupulous bar girls constantly nagging them for sex
2. The state itself and it's welfare programs or illegal working costing citizens employment
3. The National of the host country.....being taken into a situation they cannot escape....
So there are lots of things to be considered. As someone else said get your paperwork in order and satisfy all criteria and the UK embassy will not refuse...it does not come down to an opinion of the individual applying.
